“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

Staying in a Riad is like Alice in Wonderland. One minute you are lost in a maze of streets and the next you knock on a door and are invited into another world.

We stayed in a junior suite which was excellent. We had an open fire in the room which unexpected but a great addition!

Jean-Pierre and his team were really hospitable - providing great advice and allowing us to store our bags when we went on a desert tour.

All in all - great room, fantastic communal areas and brilliant service.

Advice on arrival - the taxi can only get so far and you need to walk. There will be plenty of youngsters offering / taking your bags / directing you to the Riad. This is not free and 20 Dirhams is the going rate despite their insistence that you should pay 100!

Room Tip: Pay extra for a suite

“An Oasis of peace and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

Booked this Riad for two nights after reading reviews on Tripadvisor - good call!
We'd never have found it on our own, like most Moroccan buildings, there's little to give away what's lurking behind the door but it's worth it when you pass through the entrance into the courtyard.
Our room was simply fabulous, massive bed, deep bath, log fire and some fabulous decor. Staff, food, service all excellent.
One word of warning and nothing to do with the Riad but were dropped off about 200 yards away and a couple of lads with a trolley offered to take our bags - the mini bus driver advised us to tip them "20-30 Dirhams". When we got to the Riad they demanded 100 Dirhams each! - that was more than the taxi to the Airport. Be warned - agree a price in advance!
Jean-Pierre and all the staff were very helpful and friendly and we would certainly stay there again if we went back to Marrakech.

“A warm welcome and a place to relax.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

The Malika offers an ideal location from which to explore this mad and chaotic city. After a day pounding the streets and being bombarded with all that Marrekesh could throw at us it was wonderful to return to our little oasis of calm and be looked after by the attentive and friendly staff. The food was good both at dinner and breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Riad Malika.

“Lovely riad in the centre of mad Marrakech !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Such a calm oasis in the centre of a frantic centre. The service was excellent. The manager was brilliant. We really enjoyed our stay. We had one evening meal there which was delicious and breakfasts were superb. It's incredible to come up to a door in the wall and open up into a courtyard with trees and fountains!

“The perfect place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

There are thousands of Riads in Marrakesh but if you want a truly memorable experience then look no further than the Riad Malika! The Riad is unique in character and the service is personable and attentive. Don't hesitate to have dinner in the restaurant as the food was superb, the best we had in Morocco. This really was the perfect place to stay!
