Coming back to Jnane Tamsna is always a dream...
We often come to Marrakech and since we know this fantastic place, there is nowhere else to stay!

The place is not a hotel, you feel like in a private house.
It is set in the Palmeraie of Marrakech in beautiful biologic gardens: a lot of palm trees, exotic plants, and vegetables' gardens. Tropical feeling that reminds paintings of Douanier Rousseau!
Beautiful architecture, a lot of space, lovely views, not too Morrocan, a certain feeling of Africa. Very very chic!

The inside decoration is marvellous. A lot of colors, beautiful paintings, flowers and candles everywhere. Beautiful bedrooms, all different and big.
The food is delicious, and so fresh; all the vegetables and herbs from the garden! Meals are served in different sets, garden or courtyards full of flowers, plants and birds!!!

The staff is very welcoming and helpful, (you laundry is done everyday for free).

The owner has created heaven, she has the charisma and the creative willing of Barbara Hendricks! She will explain you the spirit of her place and all her interesting researchs and projects she has with her husband, Gary.

If you come to Marrakech, it is the best place to stay!

How to describe my paradise?

I love the atmosphere, the colors, the smell of Gary's gardens, the amazing decoration created by Meryanne, the delicious cuisine, a mix of traditional oriental food and western taste, the wonderful flowers in the living rooms and bedrooms, the kindness of the employees...

I love resting near the pool, reading a book, smelling jasmine and lavender and listening the wind in the palm trees.

I love my bedroom... the blue Persian one. No the Indian one! No the West African one! Well, all of them are so comfortable and peacefull.

If you look for paradise, you have just found it! It is Jnane, in Marrakech!

We last stayed at Jnane Tamsna in Spring of 2007 and I was delighted to find that the place is as exquisite as ever. The staff were helpful without being 'in your face'; the bedrooms are impeccable and full of original touches (miles away from the tired Orientalist chic peddled elsewhere in Morocco); the proprietress was gracious and welcoming. Their green policy is even more evident - they don't use any pesticides and try to save water by using drip irrigation for their gardens. If you want to escape from the hurly burly (and get some great design ideas) this is definitely the place to do it.

Years ago I went to JNANE TAMSNA and had enjoyed Heaven in Marrakesh and came back many times since, then to riyadhs and hotels , with a strong frustration not to experiment the same congruence . No space in riyadh and this very challenging proximity of wealth and misery, hotels where luxury stands but no soul. Well definitely Marrakesh was no more my place ! May be . .. Just spent a few days there 3 weeks ago and went back to JNANE , unexpectedly with friends who pushed me to come back and wanted to know that place . And the place is greater , more authentic , more subtle even than in my memory . This place has very well matured, became a tradition , a very personal touch within a world of hypes all around . No hypes , but excellent, Excellent food , service , lodging . Not fit for Bling-Bling as the French says ! but for those appreciative of quality , education , contact , beauty . Absolutely true, delicate, comfortable - provided that you belong to this part of humanity who do not travel to bring hysteria and noises wherever they go , but to the other part for who being there is an inclusive , exclusive , respectful trip .
