“Shame about the service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

Spent 3 nights in this lovely hotel. Good location, fantastic pool and gardens so why are the staff so miserable. Not all the staff but in particular the reception staff are so aloof and unfriendly. At breakfast (which was great) we waited 20 minutes for the all important coffee. The buffet in the evening was superb, forget the diet! Our room was clean and large. Room service was excellent and super quick. All in all a great place for a short stay if you are not looking to make friends at the reception.

Just returned from this hotel. We were a party of 5 ladies and had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were very spacious and were very clean. The hotel was very quiet as it was well soundproofed. The pigeons outside were a bit of a problem as the made a mess on the balcony.
The gardens were lovely with plenty trees and flowers and grassy areas where you could sit and relax. Breakfast was really good. There is not the facility to make tea / coffee in the room. We all had a brilliant weekend.

I booked a standard room but the room had 2 twin beds and was huge. I really liked the room and it was immaculate. The hotel is set in a beautiful garden and I could smell the roses when I walked by. The grounds were peaceful and relaxing. I stayed here for 10 days. The food was always pleasing and the waiters were friendly and helpful. The waiter in the picture was very charming and worked really hard to do his best. He really looked after me and brought me fresh orange juice at breakfast time. I would like to thank him. I had a chilled out time there and will go back again very soon.........

Hair in the "clean" bed sheets when we arrived, rust in the toilets, ripoff taxi drivers working in cooperation with the hotel, indoor pool and room safes (!?) charged separately, average food quality in the pool restaurant, windows that can't be locked, painfully slow service, and 1970s interior are just some of the things that guest of a 5 star hotel shouldn't be dealing with. This hotel barely deserves 4 stars only thanks to the fact it has a pool.

This is a good hotel. Its clean and the rooms are decent sized. The beds are super comfortable. The location was good - but a cab ride to the souks in the Marrakesh heat.
The downsides to this hotel was that they charged us to use the safe.

Great hotel, just missing a few essentials like tea and coffee facilities in the rooms and a super overpriced mini bar!!
The rooms were clean, tidy, a little dated but nice.
We were able to walk to the souk in about 15 minutes, but it is just a short 5 min cab journey. The staff were friendly, there is a cash machine, and they also change money at the desk.
The spa is expensive, but nice, cheaper treatments in the centre of town, but not as convenient.
The staff are all great. From the reception, to the breakfast staff to the maids. All helpful and happy.
Would stay again, but bring in water, and alcohol with me. Nearly £10 for a not that great v&t is a bit much if you want a couple of nice drinks.
Great value room, clean and tidy.

My wife stayed here for four nights while on a conference in Marrakesh.

The hotel was clean a comfortable with extremely large rooms and beds. The location was very convenient and within walking distance of the old city. The food was decent though monotonous and no special requests (we keep kosher) were accepted. Water was also not served without payment. Likewise the health club and indoor pool were charged for separately too.

The service at reception was not very helpful and most requests, even for a box of matches were refused and she was told to go to the market to buy them. Internet was slow and only in the lobby.

All in all, it's a reasonable place to stay if you don't mind paying extra for the kind of things that you're used to receiving for free or just doing without.
