I have just returned from this hotel (with five friends) and feel that some of the comments are not really justified. No, it's not like a five star hotel here, but it was clean, the beds were comfy and the staff helpful.
The pool and surrounding area was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves away, which we only did for lunch! Breakfast was yummy. There is a selection of hot food, fresh fruit, cereal and pastries.
Went out for dinner and can recommend two fantastic restaurants. Le Foundouk and Le Comptoir. Both were absolutely beautiful and served local dishes (which were scrummy) Le Comptoir had belly dancers from 10.30pm, which if you are after a giggle, is a must! Cost is reasonable, roughly about £25, but we did have a lot to eat and drink!!! Best to book a table if you can.
The taxis are interesting, but if you speak French, then you should be ok. Had a disagreement with ours and ended up driving round for ages and visiting two of his friend’s shops. Not exactly what we asked for, so please ensure you know where you are going and the exact price. The tourist police are wonderful and there are quite a few around. Ours was a great help and very sweet!!!
The Spa is out of this world, although probably not for people who are body conscious! Had a fantastic treatment and massage, which was much cheaper than at home and equally as good, if not better.
Overall I would say this is a good hotel (at a very good price) and well worth a visit.
PS There are a few shops at the airport and tons when you check in, but get there early as passport control takes ages!
