“lovely stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Stayed at the hotel for two weeks from the 18th of July and we had a lovely time.We went as agroup and our children were too old for the kids club but the staff were working hard and seemed ok.I found that there was more than enough variety in the food to satisfy everyone in our partyThe drinks were good and I found that the staff were great although my wife and daughter found that the reception staff could be a bit grumpy. It may be because it was Ramadan. One major bug bear was that the courtesy bus dropped you at the new town only. This was a pain as you has to either get a taxi or walk to the souks and square. Isaw other hotel buses dropping guests off there and that would have been easy for the hotel to do. The pool was good fun although the placing of towels was a bit competitive. Overall we has a great time and the hotel was good value for money

Just back from Marrakech after spending 10 days at this hotel.from 22nd July to 2nd August It is extremely well run and the staff are wonderful. very clean and the food is so fresh, a very good selection.
There is a huge pool , but with Marrakech not being coastal, it is really crowded, In my opinion the only thing that this hotel needs is another outdoor pool.
The staff will always find you a sunbed, but people are up at 6.30am to "bag" them with towels. It's a shame the pool area is so crowded, they have huge , stunning gardens and plenty of room to build another.
We had a fantastic 10 days, there was absolutely nothing else we could find fault with. We had a fantastic time and would definitely use this hotel again.

We have just returned from a fab week at this hotel. The only issue we had was my friends phone was taken out of her bag whilst by pool and the kids feet got cut on tiles in pool. The kids club is ok but would be better if they did some activities with the kids. Other than that the hotel is very clean the rooms fab staff very friendly and helpful. The food is great and a good variety and the mini disco great. The animation team work very hard.

Myself and my family spent 10 days at the Tikida Gardens from 5th Aug-15th. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the grounds and the food was to a good standard. We only went on one of the Thomson excursions to the water park and thought it was very fun.

On the last day we checked out at 11am. Our connection to the airport was not until 9:15pm and so we left our luggage in the locked baggage room and spent the rest of the day by the pool. When we went to retrieve our luggage, I found that my iphone 5 had been stolen from my bag. We went to report this to the manager who said he was 'very shocked as this hadn't happened in the 20+ months he had worked there'

At the desk we spoke to another lady who had her iphone stolen by the pool by a member of staff who was seen doing this!!

The manager said he would call the police so we could get a report to claim on the travel insurance. By this point, time was ticking as we had our connection to the airport. Three police men turned up in plain clothes. They said that to get an incident number we had to go the police station, so we did. Pablo the manager allowed one of the reception staff to travel with us as a translator and offered to pay for the taxi (credit where credit's due) The next hour and a half can only be described as the most uncomfortable in my life.We sat in a stuffy room trying to explain to the police officer what happened and the writing of the report was painfully slow. There was a criminal handcuffed to the wall of the same room only meters away!! After a while I thought I we were going to miss the flight. We eventually left with a tiny report and made the journey back to the hotel. We made it back with 10 minutes to go. We spoke to Sam the rep about the number of incidents involving theft and he said it happened at the hotel A LOT! There seems to be a severe lack of security and the fact that my phone was stolen from the 'secure' room which only a handful of staff have access to is just shocking. We had not had any problems with the staff before this and thought they were very polite and hard working. There seems to be a few untrustworthy members of staff who have tarnished our memories of this family holiday. If you travel to this hotel BE VERY VIGILANT of your belongings.

I am aware this can happen anywhere in the world and I have just been unlucky.I should not have put my trust in the 'locked baggage room'

just returned from one week at this hotel, we were pleasantly surprised at how well kept the hotel was. Big pool with plenty of room for sunloungers. Nice grounds for walking around. Food was tastier than expected and had a reasonable selection. Bar service was excellent, always plenty of staff on hand and never had to wait for longer than a minute to get served. Most staff very friendly. Room was a good size and what you would expect for a 4*. Sunlongers did go quickly in morning ABOUT 7.30ish so be prepared to get up early if you want one around the pool. Evening salon and Zanzibar were both well kept and comfortable to go into in the evening. Animation team evening shows were poor so don't expect too much and then you won't be disappointed. Overall good hotel with good position for marakech centre. There are no nearby bars to wonder to and the roads and pavements are very poor. People live very poorly so expect the odd person begging. visiting the centre is an eye opener and best done on horse and cart rather than by foot (less hassle from people).

Room Tip: Rooms next to the pool are great if you have kids, they are also next to pool restaurant etc. Rememb...

Fab hotel, lovely friendly staff especially Pablo the manager and Wafa behind the bar. Food was exceptional and varied. Lots of Moroccan tagines but also pasta, omlettes etc for the less adventurous. Lovely rooms, very clean. My only criticism would be the sunbeds and I hate to admit it but it was mainly the British that were putting their towels on at 6.30am then going off until 2pm in the afternoon resulting in some poor guests having to sunbathe on the grass.
We met some lovely people and will definately be returning :)

We stayed for a week from July 29 to August 5. The hotel itself is very attractive and set in beautiful gardens. Food and drink it plentiful and of a high standard. There is plenty of variety at all meal times and I think you would have to be very picky not to find something you like each day. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the room was large, spotlessly clean and a lovely cool haven from the blazing sun. The hotel pool was also very nice although it does get busy but not so much that you cannot enjoy it. If there were a further pool this place would be even better. This is a family friendly place so if you want tranquility it is not ideal as there is a fairly high proportion of kids. Still, everyone was very pleasant and we had a nice time. I would also recommend Mohammed's Choop, the shop just outside the main hotel gates. It sells everything the hotel shop sells but much, much cheaper.
