“Beautiful Riad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2006

My husband and I stayed at the La Maison Arabe for 6 nights. The hotel is beautifully furnished with a mixture of European chic and Moroccon-inspired architecture and furnishings. Fresh flowers were in abundance everywhere and every niche had some beautiful object to delight you. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. We took the 3 day cooking course, which we enjoyed. A bit of trepidation, as my husband does not cook, but with the English interpreter, Mohammed (who was terrific-highly recommend him), the dada chef, and the assistant, you couldn't go wrong. We got to eat these delicious creations by the gorgeous pool under palm and olive trees with more attentive, friendly staff. Great way to learn about Morocco (Mohammed was a great source of information) and Moroccan cuisine. A holiday we will never forget.

My husband and I were lucky enough to have found this truly beautiful RIYAD, well located in the heart of the Medina. All the public areas are beautiful decorated and appointed with a unique sense of style. All were warm, friendly, inviting and comfortable.
The food was excellent both at breakfast and in their beautiful dining room and bar area.
The staff was truly OUTSTANDING and catered to our every need. They couldn't do enough for us, but were pleasantly around when you needed them. How refreshing. The rooms are precious. All a bit different, but all equally as lovely and well appointed. Everything you could want and more. I felt like it was a "home" with an atmosphere of true hospitality in every sense of the word. We are in the hotel business and have stayed at hundreds of places throughout the world. This I can rate as one of the top , small, friendly, and totally service orientated hotel I've ever stayed at. Look forward to my next visit.
Also, the staff from the waiters to the management cannot help you enough. They do NOT miss a single detail and are a wealth of information. They all speak English (and so many other languages), it was truly a fantastic experience. Don't miss this place! If you can't get a room, then you must go there for a romantic dinner, or just sit at the beautiful bar and enjoy their live music. Put this on your list: DO NOT MISS!
