“Five star luxury in the medina”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed here four nights, eating at the Jazz bar and also the Morroccan restaurant, as well as the complimentary breakfasts and afternoon teas. We took the complimentary shuttle to the country club, and my wife had a massage in the hammam.

Everything was pretty faultless. The food in particular was superb -- I'd be surprised if you could get better in Marrakech. Nice that you can get this quality of accommodation and food inside the medina. When you step out of the hotel entrance you are right in the thick of the rabbit warren of alleys that lead to the souks, though it's only a short walk to the nearest taxi-friendly road. Maybe a little less authentic than some of the central riads, but it's nice to have a pool you can swim in.

Hard to complain about the country club, as it was free. Pool large and chlorine-free but unheated so for serious swimmers only (probably warmer in high summer). I think it is rather stretching things to describe it as a country club; more a garden with a pool.

My wife tells me the hammam was excellent -- peaceful atmosphere and great massage.

We dined at the International Restaurant at la Maison Arabe to celebrate a special occasion while visiting Marrakech. We chose the International Restaurant as there was a large group dining in the Moroccan Restaurant that evening. This information was provided to us when we visited the hotel earlier that day. When inquiring about making a reservation for the restaurant, we were treated to a full tour of both restaurants, as well as the kitchen where open cooking classes take place, and also the spa, where you can book a hammam and massage for 650dirham.
The International Restaurant exquisitely encircles a courtyard pool, which provides for a very romantic ambience with ornate candlelight and traditional Moroccan musical accompaniment. The setting was perfect and the service was good. The menu offers a selection of both international as well as Moroccan dishes; so even when choosing to eat at the “international” restaurant, you can still avail of a full Moroccan menu, but without the option of tasting platters - which is only available in the Moroccan restaurant. Nonetheless, it was a difficult choice to make from a very inclusive menu, even when limiting ourselves to the more traditional Moroccan selection. The traditional salads to-start is most recommendable, and there is also a generous range of lamb dishes as main courses, as well as fish and vegetarian dishes.
We started the evening with a cocktail in the jazz bar, which was recommended to us by the staff as well. Here we were amongst fellow tourists, of course, but the atmosphere was comfortable and the service excellent, with fantastic drinks and the complimentary provision of olives and nuts as snacks. This was overall a very enjoyable experience in a relaxed environment. As a bonus, we were given a calendar with recipes from the hotel kitchen at the end of our meal – a very special souvenir to remember a beautiful evening, and hopefully a way of capturing some of those memorable Moroccan flavours in a meal of our own back home.

Great rooms, excellent service. It is a high scale oasis inside the busy Marrakech caos. If you want to relax and forget about anything stay there, ask for a mint tea and have dinner around that area surrounded by olive trees.
Make sure you call them to book with a lot of anticipation, they are always full.

Fantastic week in Marrakech at this wonderful hotel.
Superbly located, beautiful rooms, excellent food and possibly the best service I've ever experienced.
Thanks team for all your hard work.
My only gripe is the disturbed sleep because of the call to prayer, not that they could do much about that - apart, maybe, from earplugs.

On walk about & decided to drop in for a pre dinner drink. Wow!!!! Absolutely beautiful. Had no idea what was hidden behind these walls.

Ended up staying for dinner, which was extremely good, followed by some delicious cocktails in the comfort of one of the lounges. Bar staff were great & by the end of the evening we were behind the bar being shown how to make that evenings 'special cocktail' and then taken on a tour around the main rooms & pool areas of this fantastic Riad, including the kitchen where the cooking lessons are held.

Don't miss out on experiencing a visit to this beautiful property - it really is out of this world.

Stayed two nights in this delightful hotel. Started by being taken into a lounge area and given a refreshing drink. Just nice to have something different than the usual mint tea. The hotel arranged a guide at a very reasonable price, Abdul (Abderrahmane Belmoudden) which made it lot easier to get around the first day. Would highly recommend letting them arrange a guide on the first day in Marrakech. The service and staff were excellent. The breakfast buffet by the pool is lovely and was a nice change from most of the riads. Enjoyed the piano- jazz bar. The drinks and the music were excellent. Eat at Les Trois Saveurs one evening which was very good but not as good as Gastro MK. Hope to be back.

Staying at La Maison Arabe for our wellness weekend among 5 friends was the best choice ever. Discovering this authentic jewel in the narrow streets of the Medina was even better than the excellent reviews could describe. We were suddenly transported into another world, a pleasure for all senses, with attention to detail in every corner. The architecture, authentic design and decorations are stunning. We stayed in the Royal Suite which was amazing, spacious and with a private terrasse.

The welcome and service was excellent, (thanks so much for the welcome bottle!) everyone was very friendly, with smiling faces and most helpful.

The spa is beautifully decorated with majestic lamps and the traditional hammam
was a unique experience followed by a fantastic massage.

The restaurants are both very good and well situated. The first evening we had dinner at the Moroccan restaurant and were very impressed with the quality of the lamb melting in our mouths like butter. The food was delicious. The second evening we ate at the restaurant “Trois Saveurs” and really enjoyed staying by the pool, next to the beautiful live and relaxing music. We had our first breakfast on our private terrasse which was a treat as we could soak the sun and see the roofs of Marrakech, but the delicious breakfast served by the pool the next morning was even better, with so much choice. Really loved the morrocan pancakes and fresh juices. The jazz bar was a great relaxing experience too with great music.

The location is perfect. Very close to the airport and an easy 10 minutes walk to the Jemaa e-fns square. We were accompanied by a local guide recommended by the hotel and we had an excellent afternoon in the Medina. The only regret I could have is that our stay was too short to try the cooking lesson and the swimming pool country club. Would love to go back and will definitely recommend La Maison Arabe.
