“we had a great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2009

We ended up at the resort because the riad we booked let us down and we needed a place to stay that night. So, from a standing start at the airport with no reservations or prior communication this is what went down. The lady at the desk resorts booked us in and the driver carried our bags to the Torago and drove us to the Hotel.
We were shown to the lounge area and offered mint tea while we checked in, that took some time because it was a Friday before a religious holiday weekend and they where very buisy, hardly their fault, the room they gave us was large, clean, and very comfortable. The bed, a proper king size firm was just the way I like, with great pillows, (the rest of Engand and Europe should take note) My wife prefers firmer pillows so after a call to housekeeping promtly two were delivered. We ate the agreeable lunch at the poolside buffet washed down with surprisingly good local beer. Sunday "up I have to say that the food, service, friendlyness of the staff we encounted were terific, we had no trouble communicating (my French is appalling) in fact the guy who ran the sports bar found and put on the All Blacks v France game for me and sat and wached it with us (think I converted him). .. Stand Outs Great Japaneese food, who'd have thought! Leroy's lamb was delish (I, m an Ausie, don, t tell me about lamb ) the Moroccan restaurant which was unfortunately not very busy looked after us like we were the only ones there (which was the case) still went on with the full floor show including belly dancers, all very unexpected and quite touching. All in all a great stay, nearly forgot, fresh roses in the room, and free shuttle to and from the medina and airport transfers, so I would say good value. Down side, practice ball buckets too small.

The hotel is not too far from the Medina and does have shuttles but, most of the restaurants advertised are only open at night. The few shops at the hotel complex are limited and overpriced (but that is normal at luxury hotels). The restaurants I ate at were wonderful, especially Geisha which has a serene ambiance of white leather chairs and teak tables and very modern design. The food was incredible and reasonable for the type of restaurant it is. Leroy's Kfee in the main hotel is an up-scale bistro with a chic interior and good food. I had the seafood pizza with grilled calamari and shrimp and sparkling water for about $25. The lobby is very Moroccan and lovely and has a musician playing the oud in the afternoon. I had good luck with the staff.

Great hotel/apartments, very spacious, big pools, only downside its a bit out of the way and you need to get a cab ride to get to the town centre.

We stayed just three nights as a pampering break and we were pampered (we got a special SPA package by booking directly on the hotel website)

On arrival the staff are friendly but very efficient feel continued throughout and in all parts of the hotel. The location is ideal for who's looking for an oasis of peace and play golf! It is also superbly decorated ! The SPA treatments were really what is best to feel cocooned!

We are planning to go back very soon!

Was there for an incentive during 4 days in october 2007.

> Location: not so far away from the city center and all important sites to visit.

> Service: well, sometimes you have to wait a bit longer than normal for the things you asked for to be done... but the people over there are really warm and friendly.

> Room: beautiful room with a nice view on the pool. No quite as large as wished but I didn't spent too much time in it, so no big deal.

> Breakfast: large choice of... everything!

Pleasant experience overall!
