“A great change from touristy targine and cous cous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Outside of the Medina, however it's well worth the 30 dirham cab ride. Excellent food, unexpected Asian flavours and great drinks. The reggae fish and mama cocktail were great! Mains were priced around 50 dirham. We also loved the reggae music.

Whilst there's a strong expat crowd, Mama Afrika is not your standard tourist restaurant. When in the cab, ask to be dropped off behind Hotel Marrakech.

“Very good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013 via mobile

Good vibes, good service, excellent music, friendly staff and unique food. The food here is nondescript. They have gone for varied styles, presentation and superb flavors. We ended up coming back here night after night. The price and quality make this a highly recommended choice.

“Surprise find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

We accidently came across this place while wandering around looking for something a bit different in Marrakech and this was a great find! Delicious, incredible food and compared with other restaurants in the area it was fantastic value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful and very welcoming. Nice and cool inside with a very cool atmosphere.

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Great atmosphere very chilled and you could almost forget your in busy Marrakech at times No leering staff everyone is very friendly and menu is a great mix of home cooked foods and hearty portions at very good prices. Could have stayed there all day just chilling out with a fresh smoothie.

“Delicious food, a must visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Absolutely loved this restaurant we went back. Friendly staff, nice decor with a great atmosphere and music. The only thing that let it down was the tv, showing a programme with animals being slaughtered which wasn't exactly my idea of entertainment. However, the food cannot be faulted, absolutely amazing and great value for money. You must try their virgin cocktails as well. Service isn't great but that goes with every Moroccan restaurant, part of the culture. Free wifi was a plus!
