“Beautiful Riad, great location, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

If you are looking for your own private accommodation in the centre of the action, but also want beautiful surroundings and peace and quiet, this 2 Bedroom Riad is highly recommended. The Riad has been beautifully renovated and decorated and comes complete with a fabulous housekeeper who is also an amazing cook. So good, we ate in twice! Breakfast is served on your private roof terrace and the owner was in easy contact via e mail to offer advice, arrange excellent taxi service and provide top tips on local restaurants!

“A special little place in the heart of Marrakech”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

On arrival in Marrakech late evening we were collected promptly from the airport by Abdal and delivered directly to the medina. A short walk through a bustling street brought us to our private Riad located in a quiet side street. Pre-ordering a delicious three course meal from Fatima was exactly the right thing to do and was eaten on the roof terrace as the day cooled( just a bit!) we can particularly recommend the beef, fig and walnut tagine and the fish tagine we had later in the week. As there were four of us, Fatima was happy to prepare two different dishes on each of the nights we ate in at very competitive prices. Plenty of room in the fridge freezer to cool the wine! The two double bedrooms are fully air conditioned and the proximity of the property to the main square made it possible to make short trips out to the souks and sights with regular trips back for a shower, refreshment and a rest. We arranged all our trips out of town via the owner Pierre. We particularly enjoyed a full day out to Ait Benhaddou, passing up and over the Atlas Mountains to the gateway to the desert. Fatima came in to prepare us a fresh early breakfast and Abdal took us wherever we wanted to go, stopping for photographs, refreshments and lunch. On another day we arranged a late afternoon trip to the Majorelle gardens, delivered and collected from the doors, avoiding the heat of the day. The property is located a short walk from the main square yet it is quiet and peaceful. Serviced daily by Fatima who serves breakfast ( yummy pancakes and freshly squeezed juice) on the roof terrace or in the downstairs diner as you prefer. Comfortable beds, huge fluffy towels and lashings of hot or cold water for showers. The property is tastefully decorated in hues to match the agaves on the roof terrace with authentic finishing touches. If you are eating out, do refer to Pierre's recommendations. His favourite restaurant, literally just around the corner, added a touch of luxury as well as excellent food to our last evening. It has its own cookery school and a different five course dinner each night. A tip for your final day if like us you are flying out late and the weather is hot. Pierre arranged for us to be dropped off around 11.30 at the Beldin Country club located out of town. We signed in as day guests which gave us use of the pool, loungers and spa as well as a 3 course lunch! Hassan returned at 6.30 to deliver us and our cases directly to the airport - less than a 15 minute drive away. A perfect relaxing end to a wonderful stay. To conclude, what made our stay so special was the first rate service provided by Pierre, Fatima, Abdal and Hassan. Gill, Rob, Glenda and Graham

“A magical riad in central Marrakesh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We honestly could not have had a more wonderful stay at this riad. It is stunning: even better than the photos suggested. And we were looked after beautifully by the housekeeper Fatima, who cooked us an exquisite tagine on our arrival and even baby sat for us one night so we were able to sample the delights of the Riad Monceau. We will be recommending this riad to all our friends!

“Lovely private Riad in excellent location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Lovely Riad and it was as nice as my sister described as she went there a couple of years ago. The transfers were smooth and Hassan took us to Le Bled one day where we spent a relaxing day by the pool in such a lovely traditional place. We had meals at Riad Monceau (our favorite) and at meal at the Jardins Medina (although the service was very slow as they admitted they were over booked) and the surroundings for both were lovely. We really enjoyed the buzz in Marrakech itself and the Riad is in the perfect place. As for Fatima the maid who will cook for you, what can I say? She is so sweet and discreet that you would hardly know she was there! Her cooking skills are fabulous and we had 2 meals with her which were excellent. Greg who supports the holiday makers was also very helpful and arranged the transfers to Le Bled for us. We would definitely recommend it all to our friends and would like to go back one day ourselves.

“What an Oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Dear Pierre

Despite both of us being quite ill with flu we had a fantastic time
staying in your Riad. We still managed to see almost all of the sights we
had wanted to see in our short stay. The Riad is beautiful and exceeded
expectations. We could not stop from taking photos. The "team" were fantastic and your organisation, advice and
contact perfect from the moment we expressed interest. We so loved our
beautiful breakfasts on the roof terrace - very plentiful and appetising
and certainly enough to see us right through to evening meal! Fatima was
so calm and sensitive and we enjoyed having her around. It was only to our
sadness, through illness, that we did not do her first night meal justice.
It was worth every penny - and as someone else commented - the best meal
of the holiday. We enjoyed seeking out her husband's stall in the market
to buy dates, figs and nuts for our return. We were also very grateful to
Hassan for his excellent driving and especially for his patience when I
advised I had forgotten to take my travel documents from the Riad safe on
route to the airport! He was unflappable and the situation was redeemed. I
would also, time permitting, have loved to travel with Hassan up into the
Atlas mountains for a day but - as they say - it is always best to leave a
place wanting more to allow for a return one day!

You are very fortunate to have such a beautiful place in such a good
location for exploring Marrakech. You have impeccable taste and it is a
lovely oasis amongst the noise and bustle of outside. You are very lucky
that the small oval bowls that Fatima used for nuts and dates etc did not
return in my wife's handbag! Fatima gave us the address for the company
you purchased them from and we almost made a special taxi trip to have a
look!

Thank you so much for everything. I have already recommended the Riad (and
your services) to friends - one of whom has already looked but you were
booked for the dates they could travel.

Steve and Christine James
