“Mini Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

Staying as a young couple in Marreakech we had booked the cheapest room in this lovely Riad. When we arrived at 1am we were warmly greeted by Stefan and Jarwad. After staying in the Les Therieres room, we were told the next morning we could upgrade to Le Petit Patio and then to Le Hammam room (the best room in the Riad) for free!! All of the rooms were spacious, welcoming and authentically decorated in a Moroccan style. The breakfast was lovely, and it was made sure that we always had enough of everything (pancakes, fresh fruit, omelettes, fresh orange juice and usually a little bit of cake on the side).

We had the option to have dinner in the Riad one night - 3 courses and they accommodated to my pesceterian needs, again with lovely authentic Moroccan dishes. Served up on the roof terrace we were left to our own devices, Stefan and Jarwad only coming up at small intervals. It was so romantic and so well executed.

In terms of tourist advice, Stefan was always around and always willing to help. He was able to recommend good bars, restaurants and a spa for us to visit and was quick to fill us in on any cultural tips. Marrekech is a very friendly place, please don't be fooled by what others tell you.

Location was great, near the square and lovely restaurants but secluded enough to allow relaxation during the day on the roof terrace. Price is excellent, you get much more than you pay for - Stefan and Jarwad couldn't be nicer hosts. We felt like it was our little home. Roof terrace, a little pool to take a dip in to cool off, a lounge and all beautifully decorated.

I can honestly say this was one of the loveliest holidays Ive had, and staying at this Riad was a big part of it!

Room Tip: Le Petit Patio is lovely, very bright and has (as you'd expect) a little private patio outside...

Snan13 was our first riad in Marrakesh. It is for sure my favorite. Here are the details
- The location is perfect. Sufficiently close (8 minutes nice and safe walk) and at the same time departed (no noise or confusion) from Jemaah el fna square. Very near the souks and some very pleasant restaurants.
- The space is flawless! Clean, contemporary and as luxurious as one can need. The rooms are spacious, perfectly decorated, with a touch of Morocco, a bit of southern Spain... in a mix that suits the eyes and the spirit.
- The service impeccable. Xavier the manager makes you feel like you are visiting a friend in his city.
- The breakfast is very fresh and pleasant also.

My conclusion, and probably the best compliment/rating I can give: this is certainly a place where my mother would love to stay... (For everyone who knows how picky a mother can be, this means being close to perfection).

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The food and service were delicious, thanks to Stefan and his staff who really care about their visitors. The rooms smell like a mixture of jasmine and orange, and are very large and comforted. The bed was very inviting and felt like we were sleeping on a cloud. If you have a chance to go, I would recommend spending time in the plunge pool and hanging out on the rooftop deck.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while. My boyfriend and I stayed in Snan13 in February this year, and I have to admit it’s the most relaxing and beautiful place I’ve ever stayed in. From the décor to the food, from the absolutely brilliant help and advice that Stefan and Xavi provided to the excellent staff that maintain the stunning riad. I had been to Morocco twice before but this stay really made me fall in love with the place, Marrakech can be chaotic and overwhelming, Snan13 is definitely the calm after the storm. Their bedrooms, we stayed in the petit patio, are carefully decorated, a mix of modern and traditional, beautifully kept. Their breakfast is not only delicious but varied, we had different things every day, mixing European and Moroccan foods. We had the option to have dinner in Snan13 and it was by far the best meal we had in Marrakech, but really, I have to thank Xavi and Stefan, they are amazing hosts that made us feel at home and relaxed. Thank you very much for the best stay and hopefully see you very soon! Monica

Room Tip: We stayed in Le Petit Patio and it was absolutely beautiful, secluded, calming and spacious!

At the end of a winding alley in the heart of the medina this riad is truly a gem.
Private, quiet and scrupulously clean it is also quite exotic.
Our room had a sunken bath - at the head of the bed - where we could soak after a long day exploring the souk and listen to the call of the muezzin across the rooftops.
The staff offered to prepare a meal for us, in house, the menu to be determined by what was available in the market.
The three course banquet centred around a chicken tagine which resulted was the best meal we ate in Marrakech, where the food generally was outstanding.
That it was served in a private rooftop setting as the sun set over Marrakech made it one for the record.
We didn't meet the owner as he was away but he left us in the care of his family which just added to the sense of security and friendliness.
Beatrix and Jawad and the other staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming.
We would go back in a flash!

Riad Snan13 was part of accommodations arranged by the travel company but we could not have picked better ourselves. Jawad, Beatrix, and the rest of the crew were inviting, helpful, gracious. We arrived but our luggage was on the very slow route ~ while there we did not know whether we'd ever see our things. Beatrix was amazingly helpful ~ lending us computer for correspondence, making calls on our behalf (French not our native tongue), showing places to make low cost purchases, even washing clothes for us. These accommodations were more like family ~ not in-your-face friendly ~ but what can we do to make your stay even better type. A few points ~ eat on the rooftop terrace (serene, quiet) and be aware if you have the courtyard room, windows open to a common area (not as private as other rooms). Location is on the inside edge of the medina (easy to access taxis, etc). I'd highly recommend staying here!

I was initially scared of what to expect when arriving in Marrakesh but Stephan put us at ease. He was so kind and helpful. He called our tour guide the night before our tours and walked us to the meeting spot as well. He also sat down and reviewed a map with us of the area and told us to call him if we get lost. He was SO NICE. The riad itself is beautiful and VERY clean. I compared all the other riads we stayed in to Riad Snan13 and non of them could compare. Highly recommend this riad. Thanks Stephan for everything!
