I had my breakfast three or four times at Amandine, I always came back for the quality of their food, it was honestly my favortie breakfast spot in Marrakech, but unfortunatelyI will stop going there because of the freezing atmosphere and some others reasons.
The staff is very cold and the quality of service varies a lot, for example: the first orange juice I had was pure orange juice in a pretty glass rimmed with some colored sugar, the last one that I had was diluted with so much water it was not even homogeneous. Also I went to have breakfast there at 8H30, Amandine's doors were open, but there was nothing on the shelves but bread and viennoiseries, Bakeries in other cities have their shelves full at 7h00, but maybe it's a "Marrakchi" habit to start late in the morning because you didn't sleep early the last night because of the hot weather. The last thing I want to talk about is the staff, don't get me wrong, the girls who work there are polite girls, but they are so cold !! and you get that feeling that they are just trying to be nice to you because it's their job, the last time we went there a straw fell from the girl directly on the table and she didn't have the kindness to put it back on the plate, it wasn't mean or very impolite behavior but I always think that if you don't like a job, if you don't respect it enough, you should not do it !!!! Waiting on tables is an ART, if you don't like it, well don't do it than ! because you can feel it when the waitress is not happy with her job and it's not a very good feeling. Finally I think I should add that I am Morrocan and I don't know if the tourists are received in a different way but if this was true I would give Amandine 0 stars.
In the end I don't mean to attack this restaurant or something because I really love the food but I'm a person who believes that if we don't speak, things will never change. Three stars are all for food !
