Description: In the hotel’s Le Jasmin restaurant our aim is to provide high quality cuisine, for outside diners as well as residents, based on a series of daily-changing set menus and two gastronomic à la carte menus featuring a varied range of sophisticated dishes, including vegetarian options. The emphasis is on modern French cuisine, in addition to a full range of classic Moroccan specialities, all prepared from fresh local produce by our Moroccan chef and his experienced local team. Since early 2011, however, following employment of a top consultant chef from France, gourmet visitors to Les Borjs de la Kasbah have been treated to a dining experience of an even more memorable standard. In February 2011 we invited Olivier Pichot, former head chef at the Trianon, Paris (where he obtained 2 Michelin stars before handing over the reins to a certain Gordon Ramsay), to have a look at our menus, as well as every other aspect of catering at Les Borjs de la Kasbah and to make recommendations. The main aim behind the review of dining at Les Borjs was to raise the bar a little by presenting a number of newly-created, refined dishes in the French style but imbued with the unmistakeable influences of Moroccan herbs and spices. In addition to the daily-changing menu (200 dh) an interesting selection of à la carte dishes is available, including vegetarian options, with traditional local specialities being featured in a separate Moroccan menu. DinnerThe à la carte menus work out at around 300 dh for 3 courses, excluding the cost of inexpensive Moroccan wines. In addition to these two à la carte menus, offering French and Moroccan specialities, we also offer a daily-changing, 3-course table d'hote menu, with more limited choice, for 200 dh.Moroccan evenings Subject to numbers, these are organised on a regular basis with a traditional menu, local musicians and dancers. Good food, good fun!

“Great service and variety”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

There is a good variety of dishes on offer, but the set menus offer very good value for money. There are some very nice Moroccan wines to go with the meal as well. And don't forget the wonderful mint tea at the end of your meal...

“A missed oportunity”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2012

4 of us had a very poor dinner in March 2012, no choice of 'gris' wines on the menu, service was pleasant as was the owner's son but chef needs firing or completey retraining as he/she are damaging the reputation of this lovely building with excellent pool and superb spa. Good chefs are hard to find - but not impossible and essential for this establishment to survive the current recession.

“Superb surroundings with great food and wine at Les Borjs de la Kasbah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2011

We stayed at the Les Borjs de la Kasbah Hotel for seven nights, and eat at their 'Le Jasmin' restaurant every night as the food was excellent and their red Moroccan wines were both reasonably priced and very good. As we were celebrating my wife's birthday, friends were arriving each day and the numbers grew around our table from six on the first night to twelve by the fourth, and our table was beautifully re-arranged each evening.
When I made the booking, I had organised a Moroccan evening for the special Birthday, and it was superb. All our friends said it was a very memorable evening eating outside in the courtyard, musicians playing, the Moroccan food and the brilliant belly-dancer.
All the staff were friendly, attentive and smiling.

“A great restaurant at the fabulous Les Borjs de la Kasbah Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2011

We stayed at "Les Borjs" and were so impressed with the food, wine and value that we had dinner in the "Le Jasmin" restaurant each evening. Eating under the stars until late, really good Morrocan food and local wines (we liked the Ksar rose) - and excellent friendly service.
