This was with no doubt the perfect choice. Riad 144 was just perfect, and the service excellent. We were able get into the true Marrakech atmosphere at this wonderful Riad, located in the heart of the Medina, but just out of the busy souk steets.
The Riad has been newly remodeled, every room in a different style, , every detail covered. Of course very clean, and confortable beds. The common areas in the Riad were great, the inside patio with the swimming pool, the terrace in front of our room, but specially the top terrace with 360 degree views of the Medina, perfect spot to sit in the sun or relax.
The service was outstanding, very friendly and helpful. First they arranged for transportation from the airport. We felt welcomed, and Jean, the host, personally showed us around how to find our way through the laberinthic Medina. He recommended the best places to visit, and the best Restaurants( they were all unique). But after trying homemade cooking at the riad you also feel like staying for dinner. You go out to fell the atmosphere in Marrakech, but you wont find better food. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.
And the Hammam experience, well you have to try it... And the massage was great.
All the extras( transportation, dinners, hammam, massages) had very reasonable prices.
Thank you so much Jean for your attention, we were very lucky to meet Stale too( specially for his great cocktails and his recommendations for our next trip to Norway). We really felt as if we had stayed with friends.
We will surely come back!!!!!!!!!!

Riad 144 is a wonderful place to experience Marrakech. Jean is a fabulous host who will help you to navigate the medina as well as offer insight on anything you may need to know. (If you have not been to Marrakech before-this is invaluable). He is a wonderful man who truly has a passion for Marrakech. The Riad itself is gorgeous, and any room you choose will be a treat. We stayed in the secret suite which was perfect for our family with children. We both had separate areas but the rooms were connected. I especially loved the huge luxurious bathtub in the master bedroom which was most welcome after a previous night in the desert. The suite has a lovely shower area as well. The beds were really comfy and the room was very quiet. We slept very well. We had dinner at the riad which was our best meal in Morocco. The food, the company, the setting- all were amazing. Just writing this -I want to go back.

Room Tip: Secret suite is perfect for families. It is a beautiful two room suite where we had our own area se...

Very nice Riad in the Medina of Marrakech, friendly staff and excellent breakfast on the rooftop. Even a small pool is available. The rooms are furnished in a trendy traditional way with great love to detail.

Room Tip: All romms are very nice, but best is suite on rooftop.

"We have chosen wisely"... this sentence we have said to each other a few times after we left Marrakech to our home country, the Netherlands. At first, our attention was drawn by the wonderful decorated rooms and of course, the good comments on tripadvisor. We finally decided to book the Royal Moucharabieh Suite and the Rouge Chambre. Both beautiful rooms to stay, so it seemed.
We asked Jean, the manager, to have a dinner prepared for us on the evening of our arrival and we were pleasantly surprised by Touria's effort in the kitchen, so we decided to have all our evening meals at the Riad and enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the sun before departure.
The rooms were clean and met all our expectations; the beds were comfy and the warm welcome, hospitality and information given by Jean and this team were wonderful. Staying in Riad 144 is staying in a little gem in Marrakech, with excellent location in the Medina. A true home away from home. The only problem you will face when you are seriously interested in making reservations at this Riad is that it is hard to decide in what room one would like to stay. Each room has its own beauty. The Carbon room and Rouge room are conveniently located on the ground floor; Beldi and Secret Suite on the 1st floor and the Royal Moucharabieh Suite is situated on the top. There is no elevator in the building. Royal Moucharabieh Suite is very spacious and gives you a nice view over Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains and is located at the same level where breakfast/luch is being served and only one staircase away from the roof terrace. There is no need to look further in the innumerable list of Riads; as said before .... "we have chosen wisely!" We hope you do too!

Riad 144 is a perfect place to stay, with amazing rooms, great view from the roof. Touria's food will want you to have more! And of course, Jean, is the best host ever!
Riad 144 feels like a home away from home, a quiet place in the very busy Medina of Marrakech.
I highly recommend the Riad 144, it is the best place in Marrakech.

I was looking for a perfect place for our romantic getaway and out of hundreds of Riads in Marrakech, I chose this one.
First of all I fell in love with the decoration, the owner (Jean) has really beautiful taste... he pays attention to even the smallest details.
Our favorite part of the day would be breakfast on the rooftop... you can see the beautiful view of the Medina while enjoying Touria's Pain perdu...hmmmm.. we just can't get enough of it!!!!
We had a wonderful time, and will definitely go back :)
