We stayed in riad le Marocain for tree nights, we booked directly with the owner. The riad is very nice, clean and the room was very comfortable and traditionally decorated.
The staff (Amina and Marou ) was helpfull ...
RECOMMENDABLE one .....

Avoid this Riad. We had booked our stay for three nights via a reputable website and paid a desposit. On arrival, no information given and a very hostile manage demanded a further 15 euros as a tax. We were then shown to our room and told the heating was 'broken' and would be fixed the next day. The next day we were told (after we paid) the heating/air con wasn't included in our rate. At the time of year, it dropped to two degrees at night, this made for an uncomfortable stay.

Real shame as this is a fairly pleasant and clean Riad. While the location (and ease of finding it) isn't ideal, it could be so much better. Very sour experience, and I would absolutely avoid.

This riad is charming. The decoration is very nice and the ubication is very good...the neighbourhood is very "authentic", and near the Mellah (jewish area). But there are a lot of negative points: there are no indications to get to this place, even in the outside door. There was no check-in: no information about the area, about the breakfast time, nothing...even we had to ask for the key. We arrived, we were guided to our room and that's all. No information about to whom we should contact in case of any problem...more over, the common area is cold in winter time.

More over, we had to go to other riad because, although we payed and had a confirmed reservation, we had to go out, because of a mistake in the reservation problems.

So, be careful with this place. Yes, it's beautiful and quite, but you can suffer some problems...

We stayed at the riad for three nights, paying £19 for a double room including breakfast. The riad is located is the Jewish mellah area of Marrakech, around a 15 minute walk to Djamaa El Fna square but close to the royal palaces. The riad is quite difficult to find so I’d recommend organising transport with them if you arrive at night or asking them for directions, we relied on help from local kids which got us there in the end (for a price :-)!). The quieter location means that you're away from the chaos of the square and souks but I found the walk home late at night a bit daunting for the first few nights as it’s quite easy to get lost.

The room was basic with en-suite wet room and air con, but good value especially in Marrakech. There’s an attractive courtyard to relax in where they serve a basic Moroccan breakfast. We were allocated a ground floor room off the courtyard which didn't feel very private and some nights were noisy when other guests came home so if I stayed again I’d request a room on a higher floor. The riad isn’t staffed at all times which wasn’t a massive problem for us, but may bother other guests who have a problem or need directions etc. as visiting Marrakesh for the first time can be overwhelming.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor - quieter and more private.

First, this is the second time I have been to a Riad, and the best Riad I would imagine, stylish, nice services, good price, and the most attractive location to the heart of Marrakesh, what can I say it is just the place where to be while you are there.

Room Tip: All the room were attractive to me I just chose according my budget
