My husband and stayed here on our first holiday away from the kids. we stayed for four nights on an all inclusive basis. The hotel is nice and clean and the rooms were a good size, beds comfortable and nice clean sheets. the bathroom was nice and clean although a little out dated. When we arrived our balcony patio door had a crack in it, we told the management and they changed our room immediately. Thre was a good selection of food on offer for all mealtimes and also a snack bar making individual homemade pizza every afternoon.
The pools were very cold but clean and as it was very hot 34C one day so this was quite nice!
most of the staff were very friendly with the exception of of one misery in the bar near the main pool, who took it upon herself to be as rude as possible.
the hotel looks like it was two hotels at one point and is now one big one, it is also called albatros gardens. There are two fitness centres you can use and they are very modern. we paid £15 for a taxi from the airport, .
There were some families at the hotel with small children, and although there was a play area and pools for kids i didnt see it as very child friendly. there are massive windows fully opened even on the 6th floor! the pools are very deep with not much warning, youd have to been on guard 24/7.
My overall opinion of the hotel is that it is quiet, clean and well managed. The rooms could do with some improvement cosmetically i would give it a four star rating in a brochure.

Hi guys, stayed at the albatros club, Marrakech.
The reception staff were excellent and very informative and well spoken English (Lumia & Aisha). Don't get worried if the staff take your luggage away on arrival at the entrance to the hotel, the bell boys will be taking them to your room and you will be escorted there also by the staff.
The hotel is located a short drive from the airport roughly a 10-15 min drive. The service was excellent, very clean environment and well maintained grounds.
The rooms are not 5* standard may be more of a 3*/4*.
We stayed all inclusive which was my first experience. The food was ample but adequate and prepared to a high standard.
We were allowed to use 1 restaurant and 2 bars. The soft drinks are of quality brand i.e coca cola, sprite etc. Alcoholic drinks are of a non popular brand but other brands are available at an extra cost.
The pools are well maintained and cleaned every night, plenty of sun loungers.
There is a gym with mainly cardio machine and a few weights machines. Other facilities are available i.e Spa treatment, facials, hot tubs etc.
Just wanted to mention the staff were great and very helpful, they work a lot of hours for little money so dont be shy to tip. They also have karaoke nights, disco's and outings to the near by night club Pacha.
I hope this is of great help to all and hope you enjoy your stay.

Stayed here on a 3 night break in October on an all inclusive basis. The rooms were nice and pool is good with comfy loungers however I'd definitely say it's more of a 3 or 4 star hotel than a 5 star.

Our room was located near the pool which was very handy for the day but at night very noisy being opposite the pool bar, music only lasted until around midnight so wasn't a big deal but you may want to avoid that spot if travelling as a family.

Food was ok, buffet style with breakfast being the best as there was an egg/ pancake station. Tea time was disappointing - just tea no cakes! Snack time was pizzas (homemade & nice) or chips. The drinks included were only local spirits with cocktails a bit disappointing however it's hard to get alcohol in Marrakech and there was beer, wine etc. It only included 1 bottle of water pp per day however there were water dispensers to top them up so this wasn't an issue.

The hotel is located approximately 30 minute walk from the centre or a 25-30 dirham taxi journey away. We cost charged 200 dirham for taxi from the airport, coming back we paid 100 - so definitely worth negotiating!

We had a hammam at the hotel was quite good but it felt a little like staff thought we were an inconvenience! All staff at hotel were quite helpful but only when asked, no information was naturally offered so you have to ask away (for a map/ taxi/ cards to get towels at the pool etc)

We have just come back from Albatros club and was very disapointed, it certainly is not a 5* hotel as stated, it would only get a 3* at the most. The rooms were okay and spacious pools were nice, but the food a let down, very little choice, certainly not 5* snacks were limited too. I have been to many hotels abroad rating 3 to 5*, and this was certainly the worst for food. and rating is not 5*, a 3* at most. It was nicely situated from the souks just a twenty minute walk.

Well, after reading the reviews on here I was quite sceptical and was expecting the worst, but me and my partner were pleasantly surprised and had the most fantastic time! We wanted a hoilday that was going to be about pure relaxtion and that is exactly what we got....we wanted to go somewhere we could unwind without the running around of children or the noise of tots (we do love children, but just did not want to be around them). We flew out on 25/09 and returned on 30/09....5 glorious nights of bliss. The room is to an ok standard, spacious and with a t.v. The bathroom is in serious need of modernisation, although the shower worked fine. The food was amazing, loads of fresh salad, fruit and vegetables and grilled meat....there was plenty of variety when it came down to deserts as well ;)
While we were there it looked to us that they were still renovating the rooms, so we would expect them to be upto a 5* standard in the next coming year or two. The Albatros Club and Gardens are two seperate hotels although they are located in the same complex, you can have the use of both pools. We went on an all inc. package and made sure we took advantage of the drinks!! The gym was nice as well although they could do with making it a bit bigger and having more up to date machines.
The evening entertainment was a bit bland, but you could see the reps trying to get everyone to participate - bless they really did try and the karoke night was fun! The only bad points are the fact that they will charge you for bottles of water but not if you want water by the glass which was rather annoying as I do like to drink plenty of water. The cash machine was out of order for 4 days so it was hard to get any cash and the airport ones were out of order when we arrived. Also the sauna and jaccuzi are not included in the all inclusive option, you have to pay for the use of them. The cab drivers can be very annoying and rude, so do watch out for them. Overall we have returned well rested, well fed and full of good memories. Do not go to Albatros with high expectations of a modernised european 5* hotel, think more so on a 4* hotel with some very small flaws. I would definately recommend this hotel again and would say if your looking for a relaxing holiday probably this would be the best time to go!

Room Tip: Ask to be located to somewhere quiet as the music from the main pool area can be quite loud.

We spent three days at Albatross Club. If you look hard enough for cracks in the tiles etc you can find them but the surroundings were very pleasant, the food was excellent and never in short supply, they were very extremely generous in their alcoholic beverages and there were people cleaning all day long. If you want to be in the heart of town it's not what you are after but it's just a twenty minute walk into the main square and souks, and just ten minutes from the airport it's ideal for a short break.

My partner and I stayed at the Albatros Club for 7 nights AI from 10th to 17th September and from what we read prior to going and even reviews since we want to give our story;

You can change your money at several bureau de change's at the airport or use an ATM machine. If you forget at the time or just want to get to the hotel dont panic there is an ATM at the hotel and the streets around about are full of banks williing to change money (baring in mind it is a restricted currency the locals make it easy for you to change money).

The staff at the hotel were not unpleasant or rude in the slightest. If anything it might take them a few seconds longer to interpret what your asking, however English is the Moroccan's fourth language after Arabic, French and Spanish.

Food is average on the whole however the breakfasts are brilliant with fresh pancakes and omlettes made for you and in the afternoon for a few hours yuo can have fresh pizzas, chips and burgers. If your feeling brave then try the street food that you can get everywhere in the old city...after all your on holiday to see another culture!

The old city and main square is a fifteen minute walk from the hotel or a few pounds in a taxi. Well worth several visits at different times of the day to see it's many changes from snake charmers in the afternoon to food stalls and music at night.

Souks are well worth a visit, go further into them than just staying at the tourist parts. It is entirely safe and remember to bargain, there are some fantastic things on sale of really good quality.

With regards to a previous comment about AI drinks only being served in one bar....thats untrue. There are two AI bars in one building, another in one of the main buildings and a further bar available whilst eating. There really is no problem with the AI guests and other guests, everything is in different buildings so you never cross or feel like a 'second class citizen'.

Room was good, clean, two double beds, bottled water everyday. Only slight complaint would be that the evening entertainment was a truly awful female singer who played her music and 'sang' incredibly loulyd. This was irritating when you wanted an early night but equally the noise stopped about 11pm so not entirely inconsiderate.

Finally, the entertainment team organise a trip to Pacha on a Wednesday night. They charge about a tenner which covers a bus picking you up from the hotel at 11pm and bringing you back at 3am. This charge also covers your entrance fee and don't worry you dont go alone the staff party with you!

The comments about having to be up uber early to bag one of the adjustable sun loungers in a good position at the pool are fair enough. Having said that we were never stuck for an adjustable lounger elsewhere or one of the less comfortable fixed ones and again this was generally only a problem at the smaller of the two pools (which themselves are very nice).

Apologies that this review jumps about, just writing as it comes to me! Any other questions then I will try my best.
