Situated in the heat of the Old Medina, weaving among the narrow streets
and navigating your way through the colours and rich aromas of the spice
market, you find Noos Noos - an unquestionable delight.
From the minute we made our booking, our experience was nothing short of
Laurent - the owner, is the perfect host and and absolute gentleman. I
would guaruntee that you will never meet anyone as helpful, charming, and
Upon booking, Laurent offered to arrange taxi collection and dinner on
arrival. I would highly recommend that you also do the same as you don't
have to worry about finding something to eat when you get there or
navigating the streets yourself.
In our case, even after being stuck in the customs queue for nearly 2
hours, we eventually emerged to find the driver still waiting for us with
the sign - amazing.
Stepping through the door of Riad, out of the hot streets you are
welcomed with a gentle breeze of tranquility and warm greeting by
Noos Noos is not just another hotel. Only once you've stayed there will
you truely understand what I mean, but it really is something special.
Something of a work of art - carefully chosen objects, paintings and
photgraphs spanning a wide period of time create a perfectly coherent
blend of ultra-cool style, history, design and creativity, you could
spend hours just looking around the floors and rooms.
Dinner was absolutely delicious, so much so that after sampling a few
local restaurants, we decided to have dinner in the Riad almost every
night as it was far supior. This allowed us to try a wide range of
different dishes cooked in the traditional tagine.
We really can't speak highly enough of Noos Noos, Laurent and all of the
staff who are all unquestionably friendly and helpful.
The Riad is within easy walking distance of the main Jammal El Efa square
where all the souks and market traders are, but it's far enough to be quiet, and even being situated next to the mosque, we were never woken by the prayer calls.
The bedrooms at Noos Noos are stunning. Each with it's own individual character and style. We stayed in the African room, which was beautifully decorated with tribal artefacts, photraphs and a rich terracotta finish with both AirCon and also a Ceiling Fan.
We stayed for my partner's birthday, and had a day full of wonderful surprises including a cake and flowers - very unexpected and immensely kind.
With regards to safety, I can only say that it felt like home and we had absolutely no concerns at all.
We stayed 7 nights, but I would thoroughly recommend a stay here if only for a few days - you certainly won't regret it.
