“Top tier tour company in Morocco - will provide you with the best experience possible”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2015

It is not possible to offer enough praise to Youssef and his team at Morocco Key Travel. If you are traveling in Morocco for a few days or a few weeks, you should work with Youssef and trust him to provide you with the best trip of your life. That is exactly what we did and we walked about with an incredible experience in an amazing country.

Our family group of six adults traveled with Youssef’s guide Mohammed for two weeks around the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. We worked with Youssef for months via email to create the trip, adjust it, understand what we would be doing and finalize details. He was very responsive, accommodating, and patient.

We had some dietary and medical needs that we need to take into consideration and without hesitation Youssef and Mohammed addressed those for us before and during the trip. This helped us enjoy the experience and not worry about issues like that.

The jewel of the trip was our journey to Youssef’s new desert camp in Erg Chebbi. It is at the camp that you understand how deep Youssef’s commitment to hospitality goes. He created and built the camp for the specific use and enjoyment of his guests. Each cabin/tent contains lights, bathroom, shower and running water. It is staffed by a group of young men who tend to all your needs. They cook incredible meals, ensure that you are awake for the sunrise, get you to the camp and back via camel or 4x4.

While at the camp you really separate from the day to day of your home, as well as even the medium and big cities of Morocco. You see more stars than you thought were possible, you have different food, sit around a fire, watch amazing sunrises and sunsets.

Youssef matches you with a guide who speaks your language, but each guide speaks five to seven languages. Youssef met us at the start of the trip and then again in Marrakesh – about halfway through the trip. He was always available via phone, email or text in the event we had questions or concerns – our guide Mohammed was so good we only emailed Youssef to tell him all was going well.

When you are in country and you see other groups, you realize the small things that Youssef and his team do that separate them from the other groups. His vehicles are newer, nicer, and more comfortable. The riads are a little more personal. The local guides are step up from the rest.

In each of the big cities we traveled to Youssef would arrange for a local guide with good English skills and local knowledge to lead us on a walking tour around the city. These were some of the most eye opening and enjoyable experience. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and patience, taking us as fast or as slow as we wanted, answering all our questions. Helping us take photos, etc.

On a final note, Morocco is an incredibly kind, generous, warm and welcoming country. The people you meet are genuinely interested in you enjoying your time and learning. There are lots of stops (if you want them) at local craft shops – carpets, spices, metal, wood, linens, oil. You can or cannot purchase from each of these vendors, Youssef’s guides make sure you don’t feel unnecessary pressure. We found at each stop a connection and deeper understanding of Morocco.

This trip would not have been possible without Youssef’s dedication to our enjoyment. He does request a deposit to offset some of reservation costs in advance and cash payment upon arrival. You should not feel any concern wiring him the money via Western Union or another service and paying for the trip upfront. This is all done so you have the best trip possible.

“Berber Dreams”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2015

Delicious food, beautiful scenery and fantastic people are all part of the private tour package! We had a wonderful 3 day tour from Marrakesh, over the Atlas mountains, to the desert erg chebbi and back. The only complaint would be that it was not long enough! The desert is truly a spectacular world. We have beautiful memories of music, sunsets, mountain passes, berber culture and camel milk! Thank you to our great guide Ibraham, Inshallah Clare and Julian

“Wonderful experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2015

We engaged MKT for the 12 days we were there as we wanted to do away with the hassle of finding our way around and minimize the chances of hiccups on our honeymoon, and we're glad we did! Youssef was very prompt in responding to emails and giving ideas for our 12 days there. Upon arrival, we met Ibrahim at the airport, with whom we spent the rest of the trip with. Ibrahim was very friendly and easy going, and helped ensure we had a good time. We always felt like we were in good hands whether it was checking in at the hotel or stopping at a local restaurant for food. (Aminah from Riad El Ma in Meknes provided a wonderful first impression of the hospitality we would receive for the rest of our trip - sincere and warm). The best part of our trip was the 3 days & 3 nights spent in the desert. The people at the hotel and campsite made us feel right at home, and seemed happy to welcome Ibrahim as well, which is always a good sign. We also met with Youssef at Ait Ben Haddou, who was friendly and checking in to ensure all was going well. We've had a couple of not-so-pleasant encounters with some sellers in the souks / tourist spots, but this was in our own time and suffice to say, we know better now. We came as tourists but departed as friends, thanks to the kind hospitality of Ibrahim and the people we've met along the way. This trip was like a "introduction to Morocco" experience, and MKT did a great job. There were definitely more hits than misses and we will be back to visit in future!

“See the many facets of Morocco - incredibly amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2014

We booked the services of Morocco Key Travel for our most incredible seven day trip to Morocco. The owner, Youssef, suggested an itinerary which proved to be most interesting and fascinating. We started in Marrakech, traveled to the seaside city of Essaouira, then traveled south through the High Atlas Mountains, down to the Sahara Desert, the highlight of our trip. We then traveled back north through the Mid Atlas Mountains to Fez, Meknes, ending back in Marrakech. We had the choice of ending in Casablanca, but couldn't get a convenient flight out. I would not hesitate to recommend this outfit, for a truly wonderful Morocco experience.

“make the right choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2014

traveling with Morocco Key travel, and with youssef, was certainly the best choice i have EVER made. I would make it again and again (Actually, i wanted to go back to morocco, and of course with the same guide, but it wasn't possible at the end). I recommend this tour 100% and I will always be thankful for the great and unforgettable experience i lived thanks to them. Thank you and I hope to see you again!!
