Description: PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.

“wonderful food, place and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2014 NEW

It's difficult for non meat eaters to find good food in Marrakech, but Pepe Nero fitted the bill perfectly. Of course, there was plenty of meat on the menu, but also there were delicious fish and vegetarian dishes as well. The salmon cappacio would do credit to a Michelin starred restaurant

The restaurant is in a beautiful old palais, the atmosphere is quiet but friendly and the service is excellent.

It is fairly pricey, but worth every penny.

“Overrated”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2014 NEW

Ate here last night. We were excited given the number of great reviews. Food was pretty plain. Atmosphere was nice, but a bit of a trek to get there, through dark allies. Have had better food during our stay.

“Off the Beaton track”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2014 NEW

A little off the square, we'll sign posted though. Got to the front door and was shocked by the size and poshness of this riad. The menu is a cross between French and Moroccan food.
We'll presented and tasty. The only disappointment was the wine, the selection could be better.

“Excellent food, beautiful building.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2014

Although expensive by Marrakech standards, food is completely excellent and restaurant much calmer than those near the big square.
