Description: PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.

“Simply delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013 via mobile

Well worth a visit, the food was amazing, a lovely choice on two menus of either Moroccan or Italian. We chose Italian dishes as a change from what we had had so far on our trip and it was all delicious. My boyfriend had lamb and it was simply out of this world. The service is great and we were welcomed with a free glass of bubbly. You could eat cheaper, from the stalls on the square etc, but this didn't seem particularly expensive considering the quality and lovely surroundings. We paid about £50 for two courses and drinks for the two of us.

This was a great adventure to find but absolutely delicious and beautiful. We felt pampered by the staff. It was worth every Dirham.

“A touch of luxury whilst in Marrakech”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013 via mobile

Well worth the journey (a good taxi ride out of town and trickey to find but WELL worth the trip). A reservation ensures you are met by the restaurant staff at the top of the narrow passageway leading to this remote but luxurious Riad

Once inside you will be greeted warmly by excellent staff (the very best service we have experienced in Marrakech - put our 5 * hotel to shame!). The food is freshly prepared and Devine. The Risotto with scallops and chocolate fondant was exquisite!

Pricey for Marrakech but excellent value for the quality of food and superb service c£40 per head with wine.

Would definitely return and recommend
They have 5 rooms which I am certain would be very special too.

First class. Well done Pepe Nero. 10/10!

“Absolutely what a good restaurant should be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is not just a beautiful place cooking great food it is a restaurant that is friendly informal and makes eating out a cheering experience. We ate delicious food , European not morrocan although our neighbours tagine smelt great.. The food is not haut cuisine but is proper dining. Our service was good the staff really friendly and helpful and the whole thing felt like a treat. Our delightful neighbours were celebrating a birthday and we all shared an ace cake. The building, quite hard to find, is an amazing riad. Fountains, pools, ornate ceilings -something really special. Find it.
