“Excellent Italian restaurant, marred by poor service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

Located ina very charming riad (with only 5 rooms) on a diffcult-to-find street in the Medina. We tried the Italian menu, and it was one of the most flavourful, homey Italian meals we've had. The fish soup is outstanding, but so are the pastas and risotto. Among main courses, the duck with orange sauce is excellent, the beef fillet is surprisingly tough. Unfortunately, the waiters, while friendly, were truly clueless and very slow (by any standards!). They could also turn the muzak down - Vivaldi's Four Seasons is great, but less so when it is blasted out as in a village fun fair.

“Outstanding food and good service, in a magical place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Outstanding food and good service, in a magical place.
After a complimentary glass of mulled wine and some amuse-bouche, we selected from the Italian menu for Christmas: Each course was excellence on a plate, displaying cuisine of the highest standards. Our waiter was cordial and attentive... one could not have asked for better service.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is seductive and luxurious with nice Christmas songs and decorations suiting the event and the fine food and wine.
Each dish really have been exceptional and faultlessly plated. This restaurant displayed the Italian cuisine to its highest standards.
What we paid for the dinner was relatively inexpensive and it was worth every cent.

“Fantastic food in a wonderful location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We went to this restaurant based on the strength of the reviews on trip adviser and we were not disappointed. We were a party of 12 - 6 adults and 6 children. The building is very atmospheric, with tables in both the center of the building and in a side room (where we were). The food is top notch but the portions are huge so please bear that in mind when booking. The welcome drinks and the amuse-bouche are touches that ease you into the ambiance of the venue.
You can order off the Italian and the Moroccan menus for each course and this was ideal for us given the mixed age group. The service is not top notch but we did find it very friendly and timely (much more so than most of the other restaurants we went to). We would definitely go back.

“Great venue and food... badly need a new Service manager”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

As mentioned in the last review our experience was exactly "Lovely venue and good food but let down by service” The location is wonderful situated in a luxurious Riad in the Mednia. The food was excellent with a great selection to choose from. Service was pretty disappointing. We were with a group of 4 tables and some how our table ended up two courses behind the others. We were on the starter and they were on Desert. I had to chase the waiter numerous times and finally when I requested the bill for the third time I decided to look for the manager. I found him in the kitchen with all the waiters ( that is why we could not get served ) having what looked like a not very motivating discussion. I finally managed to pay and was happy to get out. Why is is that so many restaurants end up in this situation. Fantastic location, Fantastic food and bad Service ? Needless to say we will not be back very soon.

“Stunning food and ambiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Food was extremely good. Don't be put off by the fact it seems to be an Italian restaurant if you are looking for Moroccan food - it has plenty on the menu and it's lovely. Best of all is the place itself. Mind blowing inside and worth a visit just for that.
