On a family holiday we wanted to go somewhere with good food and a friendly atmosphere, after some research we chose here.
Slightly tucked away from the street behind some foliage this was a beautiful little restaurant which was relaxing and accommodating to a party of 8.
We all chose starters which were very tasty and more than ample proportions (the phuket salad was a generous and tasty meal), the mains were all enjoyed and swapped around to be tasted by everyone else, and the staff were nothing but pleasant and helpful.
As can happen, there was an instance with a meal being dropped in the kitchen but the delay was explained early and took a reasonable amount of time to correct which was reassuring as it proved that a quick replacement wasn't being hastily provided but that they were taking the time to make it right.
The female owner was especially noteworthy as she provided us with assistance in an unfamiliar city and we all appreciated the effort she went to.
After spending over a week in Marrakech this was definitely my favourite experience, good food at reasonable prices, excellent environment and atmosphere, and friendly staff. Worth looking up for lunch or dinner.
(the only reason I drop a point in service is for the same reason I have found in all restaurant's in Marrakech is that although everyone is unfailingly polite and accommodating there tends to be an initial wait for drinks and food which is unusual to me at home. Certainly not isolated to Amaia and not to be faulted in them, just that my personal experience means it falls short of what I expect).
