“Small but Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

My partner and I went to this restaurant while taking a 5 night break in the warmth of Marrakech. We found it after looking at reviews on trip adviser.
It is as everyone describes, a small restaurant, but great food at a good price.
The staff are so helpful and nothing is to much.
The main thing is, it is in the modern part of Marrakech and is a lovely change from the hussle and bussle of the old town. You could be anywhere in the world when looking out on the traffic, that is until you see one of the small taxi's go by.
The restaurant has a great twist where the kitchen is glass fronted and above you, and with a glance you can see tour food being prepared.
Talking about food it was lovely. To start we shared a salad, which it had been for one would have been enough as a main. For our main my partner had the Special Pork dish and I had the New York Steak, both were beautifully cooked and tasted divine.
We would both return here again when in Marrakech, and recommend it to all the visit this great City.
Andrea and Steve.

“Delicious food, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

We came for dinner and had the best meal of our trip. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very pleasant and the decor is simple and modern. I ordered the the beef carpaccio which was light and delicious. The pesto was a great flavor addition but not too overpowering. For my main course I got the salmon with rice. The fish was perfectly cooked and the soy glaze was very nice. My friends got spinach and cheese ravioli, beef tartar, and the wok chicken. I only tried the beef tartar and was blown away by it. Probably the best beef tartar I've ever had. My friends who got the ravioli and chicken said both were delicious. We shared the pear tiramisu for dessert which was great as well. Overall, an amazing meal and reasonably priced.

Dear Arthur,

Thanks a lot for such nice comments about our food and atmosphere. We try to mix them to create a cosy place with good cuisine!
You took our beef tartar, what a great choice, different from the traditionnal recipe....so tasty!
The carpaccio and the spinach & ricotta ravioli are one of our best sellings.

I hope, next time, you can taste our wok ok calamari!

King regards.

“Finally a nice place to eat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012 via mobile

My friend and I came here tonight and we finally found a nice place to eat in Marrakech. We've been striking out lately. The service was great. We actually went to the spa next door earlier in the day only to look completely lost and the kind female owner came over to help and told us the spa wasn't open on Mondays and gave us a map for other spas. We were already planning to eat at Amaia that night but this really confirmed our decision.

Upon our early arrival the restaurant only just opened and was empty but it quickly filled up. Our menus, Drinks, and food came out in a very timely manner and the food was, as mentioned above, yummy. Portions were perfect leaving you not too full nor hungry. The prices would be considered average in the area but I guarantee the food here is better. You can just tell the employees care about what they're serving. Something I keep an eye out for when I dine out...

Need a good feed? You need come here.

“MUST VISIT!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

If you do not visit Amaia during your stay in Marrakech, your trip wasn't complete. During our stay we visited this amazing restaurant 3 times. Every time was even better than the one before. The restaurant has a modern look and the ambiance is warm and friendly. They have a wide selection of wine, and also a good choice in fusion meals and delicious deserts. You can really tell that the lovely couple, that run the place, want to make every meal into something special.

We can go on and on about this restaurant, but you just have to go check it out for yourselves.

To the owners:
Merci beaucoup for the wonderfull experience!!! We'd love to have a restaurant like this in our city in the Netherlands!!!! The raspberry cheescake was a little plate of heaven :)
