Friendly little restaurant. Top quality food, we had the carpaccio (fish and beef), pasta and then superb puddings. profiteroles as big as your head! Really good and a fantastic surprise and treat if you are bored of slow cooked lamb.

“Not value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

I think this place could be fantastic if the prices were not so outrageous for what it is and the deco sooooo kitch and passé...Service is hit and miss too.

“Fantastic alternative in Marrakech”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Sublime Italian in Marrakech that is a terrific alternative to the ubiquitous tagine (which I love). The owner is friendly and will tell you a lot about his sourcing, if you're interested as we were. Fantastic gnocchi and pasta. Friendly service. Cozy atmosphere.

Do not let the street put you off... inside the restaurant is a little gem.. totally delicious food with helpful, friendly staff. The owner even popped around all the tables to introduce himself which was a nice touch! Definitely eat in this restaurant... i just wish this was my local.. yum yum!

“Good & Honest Italian food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

We arrived early for our reservation but weren't turned away. We were greeted and sent to our tables immediately. We were served with WARM bread (finally!), olives and butter. i really enjoy my bread served warm and this place did it right. Later, the owner/manager made the effort to greet every table. I thought that was a very nice move.

We ordered the mussels for starters and it was as good as what other reviews have described. The mussels sat on a bed of mashed potatoes mixed with beetroot. It was delectable and unforgettable. We also had a bottle of rosé wine which was very reasonably priced. We went on and shared the fruitti de mare pasta. Prawns were a tad small but overall they got the taste and presentation right. Would have preferred more seafood though!

All in all, le chat qui rit was one of the best meals i had in morocco. Worth the visit! And very well worth the $$.
