My husband and I stayed three nights in Riad Badi and I can only repeat what other reviewers
have said about the beautiful riad, the rooms and decor, the gracious service and informative tips from Christian and Isabelle and, of course, the food.
Our experience was a little different because the first night of our stay we were in the area near
Kosybar with Christian when I took a fall on uneven pavement. The next morning it was clear that I would have to see a doctor because the foot was very swollen, painful and could not bear weight. Very concerned, Christian and Isabelle served us breakfast in our room and worked on how I could get down the flight of stairs to the first floor in order to go to the doctor.
What happened next was BEYOND hospitality. Christian picked me up in the room and carried
me down the stairs! That was only to be matched by what happened next. He carried me on
his back (piggy back) from the riad to the taxi stand, and put us in a taxi for the International Clinic. The clinic was very good. Had X-rays and was diagnosed with a badly pulled ligament
in my foot. Unfortunately I had to be put in a cast and use crutches.
Back at the riad, we enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts, the Marrocan tea and we ate two amazing dinners at the riad. REOMMENDATION: When you stay at Riad Badi, make sure you
eat dinner there the first night. That way you can find out what an excellent meal they serve and you may not want to go anywhere else to dine during your stay.
Since I had limited mobility and quite a bit of pain when walking, Isabelle and Christian suggested a city tour with a private guide in an air conditioned SUV. A great idea! We enjoyed our three hour tour of the Medina and Marrakech outside the walls.
We have travelled to many countries and never experienced such fine hospitality. As you might imagine we are overwhelmed with gratitude, and in spite of a bad situation, we had a wonderful stay at Riad Badi.
