Myself and my parnter spent 9 nights in this Riad in October 2012and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice.

The location is perfect, it's only a 5 minute walk from Jemaa el fna square (the main square in the medina) and therefore close to the souks and easy walking distance to just about all of the medina. It is also over looking the walls to the Badi Palace and all the storks roosting on top. However despite being in such a central location it is a minute or two down a quite derb (small street) and is therefore remarkably quiet. The riad is also beautifully decarated mostly with local items.

The price was very reasonable compared with other riads of a similar look and location. Also prices when at the riad are good, for example on one night we ate our evening meal there and were charged 20euro each for a 3 course meal, wine was between 10euro and 15euro a bottle and was saved for you if you didn't drink it all! It also turned out to be one of the best meals we had on the holiday. The breakfasts are great too, all homemade by their cook (even the yogurt!) and delicious.

The best reason to stay here however has got to be the service which was more personal and helpful than I have ever come across. Christian and Isabelle greeted us as though we really were coming to stay in their home, gave us advice on what to do and see and made sure we had everything we could want from homemade biscuits and treats on arrival to buying us in wine they thought we might like to try. On your day of arrival you are walked to the main square to help get your bearings which was invaluable for first timers in Marrakech and we were even walked to and from our hammam as it was in the middle of the maze that is Marrakech! Their staff are equally polite and helpful and made sure we were always catered for.

I suppose it says it all that we have both agreed to go back as soon as we can.

We are a group of four friends who absolutely loved Riad Badi. We were warmly welcome on arrival by Christian and Isabelle who were great hosts, extremely helpful, willing to go the extra mile to make sure our stay was a pleasant one. Our rooms were extremely comfortable and well-appointed and the food was wonderful. What more can we say? Riad Badi is an excellent place to stay. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a three night stay at Riad Badi and feel compelled to write a review of this fantastic place to stay. It was our first visit to Marrakech and the welcome we received from Isabelle and Christian was a wonderful first experience in this delightful city.
On arrival we were met at the airport by a driver and taken directly to the Riad, a service we would thoroughly recommend for a very reasonable 15 euro. Isabelle welcomed us with delicious mint tea and pastries while Christian gave us some valuable information about Marrakech including maps, brochures etc. He then offered to take us on a tour of the city which we gratefully accepted. Christians knowledge and advice was invaluable to our stay and most definitely saved us getting completely lost on our first day, he is so pleasant and unassuming and speaks excellent English.
Our room was beautiful, clean, large and comfortable with a lovely bathroom, terrific rainshower and soft white towels. The Riad itself is a complete oasis of calm, perfectly located for all there is to see in Marrakech whilst being totally peaceful and restful. Isabelle and Chrisian are very attentive but also very discreet, they appear as if by magic when you need something but never intrude on your privacy. The breakfast is truly delicious and the whole place is absolutely spotlessly clean. We didn't have dinner in the Riad but are sure it would have been every bit as delicious as everybody describes! The roof terrace is beautiful for relaxing after a hot day in the city, and as beautifully furnished as the rest of the Riad.
We had a lovely meal in Pepe nero for my husbands 50th birthday including a complimentary cake! We also enjoyed drinks and a last night meal at the Cozy Bar which is extremely close and has a wonderful roof terrace, lovely for lunch, dinner or just a few glasses of the local wine!
All in all a fantastic place to stay. We cannot recommend it highly enough and if we return to Marrakech we will definitely stay at the Riad Badi. Go there!

We booked this riad after looking at the reviews, and we're not disappointed.
We were given instructions on how to get there by Isabelle, but our dodgy transfer driver decided to drop us off at a round about and make her come out to get us, which she did with a smile.
We were then given hot mint tea with delicious pastries, and had an exhaustive explanation of how they function, what to do, were given loads of brochures to study, etc..... We then went to our room where the towels are fluffy, white and arranged artfully complete with rose petals, the room is spotlessly clean and very pretty and the bedsvcomfy if a little on the firm side for my personal taste, but after my 4 nights on really hard rock beds at the hotel in the atlas, I slept fine. We then came back down and were offered a tour to get our bearings so Christian took us to the famous Jemaa el fna place and left us there to have lunch. We arrived early, around 12.30 but got to the room strait away, and Christian skipped lunch to accompany us.
We then proceeded to get thoroughly lost in the souks....After about 4 hours walking, in spite of the map given to us, we decided to just walk in a straight line and ended up about 15/20 minutes walk from the riad, near a mosque, we phoned to get instructions and were offered a rescue, which we gratefully accepted, as it was night time. A first in the history of the riad.
We had dinner at the riad which consisted of a Moroccan salad and a lamb couscous which was delicious, so delicious I could not eat desert, made specially for me as I have a problem with fruits and was given a home made chocolate tartlet instead. I had to have it for breakfast... Which are also very good, change a bit everyday, include home made yogurts, jams and pastries, and in my case cheese ( very rare in morocco), my sister had the fresh fruits and the orange juice.
I had another dinner the last day and the briouates and chicken tagine were extremely good again, freshly cooked and juicy, absolutelly lovely, in fact you do not need to go out to eat at all as the food is better at the riad, exept to give the cook a well deserved day off from time to time.
The last day, I made the unfortunate decision to go to a spa for a disastrous massage, and was offered arnica, aspirin, at no cost or trouble, the impression you are left with in spite the horrible massage is that of a excellent stay in a lovely oasis, with hosts who will do everything for you, dropping everything with a smile to ensure your stay will be unforgettable for all the right reasons, with an attention to detail second to none. Highly recommended.
