“A welcoming oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2012

I have just stayed at this beautifully designed and thought out Riad in the Medina and must say it is probably one of the best place I have ever been to. The design is stunning with an amazing attention to detail. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the shower is lovely and washes away the day's dust and sweat like a welcome summer rain and the breakfast is simply delicious. They make their own yoghurt! Yummy!
Isabelle and Christian are the most amazing hosts going out of their way to ensure you are making the most of your stay by walking with you through the Medina and showing you a fool proof way not to get lost, demonstrating how to make their lovely mint tea, booking wonderful restaurants for you and sitting up late with you if you want to have a sneaky drink after you come back from an evening out.
Make sure you ask them to arrange airport transfer for you (a snip at EUR15) in an airconditioned modern car with a very friendly driver rather than having to haggle for ages to get the price you should be paying, sweating your way in a very old, banged up car and then being dropped off on a busy square and wondering around for an hour in the heat with your suitcase in the heat.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: I had the turquoise room, which was beautiful, but I am sure, the others are just as lovely.

At the end of our wonderful yet exhausting Christmas 12 day tour of Morocco we arrived in Marrakesh. Walking though exciting alleyways we came to Riad Badi. When the door opened we were greeted like long lost friends by the French owners, Isobelle and Christian. The Riad was newly furbished, had an excellent decor and had a warm homely feeling. The courtyard was friendly with plenty of areas to relax and drink Berber tea. Our bedroom was divine, mainly white with rose petals sprinkled on the bed and even in the shower room.

The service was excellent, food was good, typical Moroccan, and the whole experience was excellent. Isobel and Christian also arranged a Hamman for us and walked us there and even gave us a personal tour of the square.

We travel extensively around the world and we enjoyed our stay so much we were determined to return to Riad Badi. We have already made these plans just one week after returning home and have booked for November this year and taking four friends with us – that good.

We were their first English guest and we will definetely not be last.

Excellent stay. Location is just 5 minutes from the square, the souks, the mosque, the palace and many other attractions.
