If you have never tried staying in a riad I would strongly recommend Riad Anais for your next visit to Morocco. A riad is a traditional house where the outside walls do not give away anything about what secrets you find inside. We stayed in Riad Anais in December 2012 and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Wafa who is the manager is a wealth of local information, a constant smile and laughter on her lips and a service level which is far higher than what you usually experience anywhere; and on top of that she is an excellent cook. The riad itself is delicately renovated and decorated where the linen matches the lamps of the room, and the rose petals in the fountain is just one of the secret touches that makes Riad Anais a beautiful, welcoming and homely place to stay. Another huge advantage is the location which is inside the medina; a short 9 minute walk from Djema El-fna and walking distance to many of the attractions of Marrakech.
