“excellent riad!! 5 star!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2012

Myself and a friend had a wonderful time at Riad Dubai, I cannot recommend this place enough,
Siad made us feel extremely welcome, the rooms were lovely and clean, breakfasts were very good and if you choose to eat there, the tagines are pretty amazing, as most reviews have stated this was by far the best meal we had while in Marrakech.
The Riad is within walking distance to the main square, around 10-15 mins, which for me was ideal, as was very peaceful and away from the madness of the square.
The tours were reasonably priced too, We decided on a trip to the ourika waterfalls as I have been to Marrakech previously and experienced some of the other trips on offer.
The best way to experience Marrakech is to just get out there and explore the organised chaos, you will get lost but that’s the beauty of the city.
Riad Dubai is great value for money, the staff were wonderful, Siad is always on hand to help you with anything you may require, first class!!
Tips: Eat in the square at one of the many stalls on an occasion, an experience in itself, Also can recommend Café toubkal to the right of the square as you enter from the riad, do excellent food with a set menu at around 50 DH
When bartering, look to end around one third of the original price, but just remember that the one pound your bartering over would mean more to the shop owner.

We have just returned from our first visit to Marrakech and will always remember Riad Dubai - this place is home away from home! The owner, Mr. Said is very helpful, knowledgeable and kind and makes such effort to ensure you feel welcome and happy at all times. The staff - Mustafa, Ali and Marika are also lovely and will look after you like you are family. Simply outstanding customer service! The riad is a beautiful oasis in traditional Moroccan style and the roof terrace is especially enjoyable. The food is great - the tagines are absolutely wonderful, especially the chicken&lemon, out of this world! We booked airport transfer both ways which is also well worth it. I will reccommend this lovely place to all of my friends who are thinking of visiting Marrakech, and hope to be back one day! Thank you Said, Mustafa, Ali and Marika, you are wonderful!

We spent 7 days in Riad Dubai and EVERYTHING was beyond excellent! The service, the rooms, the cleanliness, the food!!! The owner, Said is the most helpful and kind man we have met in the whole of Marrakech! No hidden charges, no extras, and very friendly environment! We booked transport from and back to the airport via the hotel for a small charge which was absolutely worth it as it would be hard to find it by ourselves! a 15 minute walk to djemaa el fna, 10 minute drive to the airport and close to a bus stop for a 24hr touristic bus (Marrakech tours) which stops at all the major attractions in marrakech!

It is a small hotel, which makes the experience even better as it makes you feel right at home, which means you are free from hotel policies, i.e.worrying about having breakfast and dinner between fixed hours, having a fixed menu every night, having to worry about sorting the bill upon arrival.... Riad Dubai was the exact opposite! The moment we stepped in we were greeted with mint tea and local delicacies, we were given a suggestion of activities to do in Morocco and weren't hassled or pushed at all about sorting out the bill!! Everyone at the hotel is so eager to help and assist you even for the slightest detail! Mustafa, the main member of staff is an absolute LEGEND!! so kind, friendly and SO helpful!! you will not find anyone better than him even if you are staying in a 5* super-luxury chain hotel!!

Mr. Said gave us some excellent tips about the do's and dont's and also was very helpful in giving us suggestions about whats the maximum we should pay for certain things so that we wouldn't get ripped off! We also went for one of the excursions suggested by the hotel which was spending a night in the Sahara and Mr. Said did his absolute best to accomodate us and please our every wish! If you are up for an adventure, We would definitely reccomend it; although its a very long journey, it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and the tour is well organised!!

Would not think twice before reccomending this hotel and would absolutely stay again when visiting Morocco without even looking for other hotels!! Thank you Said, Mustafa, Ali and Marika for making this the best experience we could ever have!!!

Room Tip: We booked and stayed in the Wassifa suite - which was beautiful! but all the rooms are excellent and...

We (my wife and I and our son under 2 years old) spend 4 days at the Riad Dubai in early February. I must say that the staff at the riad really went out of their way for us and I cannot speak highly enough of the place. Our son was sick when we arrived and for him the whole trip was a bit of a struggle, but it was never a problem to get him something to eat or milk for his bottle. It was lovely to be able to put him down in the evening and then go downstairs and have a 3 course meal, safe in the knowledge that he was easily reachable asleep upstairs. The food, by the way, was excellent, the breakfasts plentiful and the evening meals of good quality and well-priced. Our room (a suite) was romantic, spacious and very clean. The roof terrace is a great spot to breakfast in the mornings or just sit and chill in an afternoon. It is a bit of a walk from the riad to the Djemaa el-Fna and the souqs, so if you want to be able to walk out the door and straight into the action then this might not be ideal for you, but for us it was perfect: quiet, friendly and, lets face it, part of the experience of Marrakech is just getting lost in the labyrinth and there is plenty to explore in the Kasbah and Mellah districts to the south of the centre. The Saadian tombs, the Palais el Badi and the Palais Bahia are all an easy walk.

So, a big thankyou to the staff at the Riad Dubai who were unfailingly kind, welcoming and helpful to us. It was also no problem for them to organise a day trip to the Ourika Valley for us, which we can highly recommend.

I visited Marrakech for the first time with my family including two teenagers for a week in February. We researched extensively over where to stay which would be both affordable and comfortable but also not too far from the famous square: Jamaa El Fnaa. I'm pleased to say choosing Riad Dubai was an excellent choice. Mr. Said, the well informed, wordly owner gave us all the advice and information we needed to have a safe and fulfilling experience in Marrakech. Whatever we wanted to do; excursions, places to eat, etc. he was able to advise and even make arrangements for us. He was always approachable and attentive to our needs. His staff, Ali, Mustafa and Malika are unsurpassable - excellent service with a smile! Always willing and helpful. The Riad is gorgeous. Traditional Morrocan decor with a cosy, family, homely atmosphere. Breakfast is served at your convenience. We mostly chose to eat ours on the roof terrace under the blue, sunny sky each morning. The open fire in the communal area each evening was a real treat, my teenaged daughter and I would often reflect on our exciting day in front of it. The rooms are clean and spacious enough for a family of four. We ate dinner at the Riad a few evenings which was always very good too. Tagines, skewers, etc were freshly cooked and served with style. Real first class service.

I stayed there with my mother, my son and a friend. The Riad is very homely and comfortable: good rooms and toilets. Is well located, in the Medina but distant to where all the fuss is. Said, the owner himself, went to pick us up at the airport.
What else can I say? Said adopted us! he arranged everything taking in consideration everybody needs. My mother had her 80ty birthday there and he organized a celebration as if it was for his own mother, plus gave her the present she just wanted!! And the food they prepare! The best we ate during our trip in Morocco, We tried low cost and twice more expensive restaurants , but the best food we had was at Said riad.
He organized and got us guides, taxis, tours, carriages etc. All very good and efficient. He even help us to organize the rest of the trip: lodging and hire a car. Again good prices and he gave me a file with all the details and maps when we left. The car was returned at Casablanca with no inconvenience at all. Before leaving he told me to call him first if we ran into any problem during the rest of our trip.
We had a wonderful stay as a whole in Morocco. People in general are very hospitable. But the best place- without doubt- was Said's Dubai Riad.

My mother and I stayed at Riad Dubai for 10 nights over the Christmas and New Year period and enjoyed our stay immensely. Said and his team are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. They really take the stress out of staying in an unfamiliar place and culture, which I would recommend if you have not visited Morroco before. I really miss having breakfast on the roof terrace every morning in the sun!!
