“Great place, great people, great food - charming place, real Morocco, better than international hotels ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

Great place, great people, great food - charming place, real Morocco, better than international hotels - only a couple a rooms / suits nicely decorated. Had been invited there for my birthday.

Taxis to go anywhere cost a few euros, and you can walk to most place in the Medina.

Owners and staff are incredibly nice. I experienced this when I lost my passport - everybody relentlessly looked for it and drove me back and forth to the different places I had been until we were able to find it. Really a great experience - the riad the way it should be... I would go nowhere but there in Marrakech.

Just returned from this perfect Riad. Amazing architecture and haven of tranquillity from the mad world outside the door. Khadija and her team at the hotel catered for every need with great food and helpful advice on trips out.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent

My wife and I stayed for 9 nights at the Riad Laurence Olivier, between the 24.12. and the 2.1. It's safe to say that this was probably to most wonderful holiday we've ever had. The Riad itself is a 10 minutes walk from the city center, and it's absolutely gorgeous - it's truly an oasis, with beautiful rooms, tastefully furnished and decorated, and there's a big peaceful garden with orange trees, birds, little turtles and a lovely pool. We usually had our breakfast with fresh orange juice on the beautiful rooftop overlooking the city. The charming, dedicated staff was always smiling and highly professional. The rooms where always tidy and clean, as you'd expect, we've been served tea with cookies whenever we came back from a trip, and they even would go out to buy food to fix us some lunch on very short notice. The Riad has it's own hammam that we booked twiced, including a massage, which was great after an exhausting day in the busy medina. Laurence, the owner, is a fascinating woman, and she and Khadija really went out of their way to make our stay a truly unforgettable experience - they were always available for a chat, gave use some great tips, would book trips for us (we went to Essaouira and the Atlas mountains) and they even accompanied us on some of our shopping tours in the souks. Since there are only 4 rooms, the experience is very personal, and we soon felt like spending holidays with friends! There are lots of nice restaurants in Marrakech, but we mostly ate at the Riad itself, because the chef is absolutely fantastic. Authentic morrocan food is served - the best we had in Morocco - and the evening, the staff would start a fire in the fireplace, which was very cozy. This is a fantastic place and fantastic people. We are looking forward to coming back!

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful. Our room was the only one that had two small windows facing the street...

My family and I spent 7 days at this beautiful Riad in Marrakesh's medina. The location is great -- close to all of the city's sites but on a small side street that is calm. The rooms are very comfortable with a large bed, luxurious sheets, and a typical Moroccan tiled bathroom. We had a small child with us and she made herself right at home in the riad. The lovely staff did everything that could to answer all of our questions, offer a tea or coffee, and prepare the gorgeous Moroccan dinners in the dining room. I would highly recommend eating here as the chef is out of this world.

Absolutely loved the Riad, walking through the amazing front door into a little slice of paradise.
Laurence was the most perfect hostess anticipating our every need and helping us organize a memorable trip. We were traveling with friends and a child and the Riad worked perfectly for us.It was a short walk into the centre of the old town and when we wanted to venture further afield transport was booked for us by Laurence. We took advantage of the spa and had a number of wonderful meals cooked for us a the Riad. Highly recommend this Riad and cannot wait to go back.

Last weekend now was our fourth stay at this outstanding Riad: Not only did we discover that they earned an "Excellence award" in 2014 - highly deserved so - but we could experience an even better service which we considered unbeatable the last time already.
The warm welcome of our hosts (Laurence et Olivier), the always smiling service personnel and the breath taking appearance of the Riad itself always creates a feeling of "coming home".
The rooms are uniquely furnished and very comfortable, the meals are like in a 2* restaurant (and you may watch the cook how she prepares the meals) and you have the choice of "dinner on demand" (speaking perfect English as well) - whatever you like: the Team of this wonderful Riad will make it happen.
Being in Marraech now since 15 years I have never experienced this kind of atmosphere elsewhere. Come and enjoy it yourself!

My wife and I go to Marrakech every year, for a travel show. This year we luckily chose Riad Laurence and Olivier for our stay. We like to explore different Riads each year, but we think next November we will be with Laurence again. The Riad is extremely nice, for several reasons. Surely the place is cozy, the decor well thought off, all is clean, the roof terrace has two levels and is roomy and beautiful, there is a garden with a swimming pool (very rare for Riads in the Medina), but what really, and most important of all, was outstanding is the hospitality. We also liked that there are only four rooms and it feels like being at a friend's home. We loved our stay there and we certainly recommend this Riad.

Room Tip: We stayed in Matisse suite and loved it
