“Revitalising!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

The Riad is a true haven for travellers wanting to relax in authentic Moroccan surroundings. We truly enjoyed our stay, and can honestly say, that in such beautiful surroundings and with such wonderful staff, doing absolutely nothing, seemed just perfect. The staff were fabulous- always smiling and doing their best to make us feel at home. Laurence went out of her way to make our stay special and she is very clued up on where to go and what to see in Marrakech. The food at the Riad was outstanding, so do treat yourself to a lovely dinner in the exquisite garden. If you choose to stay here when going to Marrakech you will find yourself returning home from your holiday totally revitalised, and at the same time inspired by the Moroccan culture.

“Beautiful Riad, excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

Beautiful riad hidden on a tiny side street on the outskirts of town. Madame Laurence has spent two years refurbishing the building (international / Eastern style) and it paid off - amazing attention to detail, beautiful furniture, stunning gardens and terraces. Lovely to relax by the pool after walking the city centre - a ten to fifteen minute walk away.

Service was excellent - enthusiastic and attentive. Laurence took us out to the souks to look
for specific things which was great.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room!

“Truly amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2012

The Riad Laurence Olivier is relatively new so will not have as many reviews as some others, but I can honestly say that staying at the Riad Laurence Olivier is undoubtedly what made our time in Morocco so incredible. I spent five nights there this past February with two friends - it is a true oasis among the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. While providing the luxury of a five-star hotel, it still feels like a home instead of a hotel. The patrons of the riad (Laurence and her husband Olivier) get to know each guest personally and are delightful. Laurence in particular will sit with you at breakfast and map out an itinerary for you each day and make the necessary reservations around the city. The staff is truly unbeatable, they are constantly at your service and incredibly kind. Not to mention the rooms are all stunning and there is a gorgeous heated pool (surrounded by a garden and equipped with lawn chairs).

The highlight of our trip was a Valentine's Day dinner planned only for me and my friends - since the other riad guests decided to eat out that night. There was live music and a delicious meal with more food than we could ever eat. And to top it off, we danced the night away with Laurence and the staff! It was a once in a lifetime experience. Another highlight was when Laurence personally escorted us to her favorite shop in the city and stayed with us while we shopped!

The riad is not in the "touristy" part of Marrakech, it is truly in the heart of the city. But we saw this as a major plus - we were able to experience the real feel of Morocco walking around, but still had our hidden gem to return home to. It is, at most, a 10 minute walk from the main marketplace, and there is always a driver ready at the riad to take you anywhere you want to go. The Riad Laurence Olivier is truly a home away from home and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech. I guarantee it will quickly become one of the most popular places to stay in the city!

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful - all were decorated by Laurence herself, and she explained that each ro...

“Fantastic decadence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2012

Riad Laurence Olivier lived up to our New Years eve 4 day getaway....fabulous beautiful home from home with every need catered for by the beautiful host Madame Laurence who flew in from France solely to ensure our every indulgence was catered for......great New Years Eve party with the other guests who became our friends over bottles of champagne compliments of our host.

Marrakech is a holiday destination not for the feint hearted....hustle and bussell just outside the door with a mixture of luxury cars, battered taxis, mopeds and donkeys......but it is an experience offset by the luxury and comfort of the riad to return to to recharge our batteries...to enjoy a glass of wine in the dining room or sit on the roof terrace sipping mint tea and watching the sun set.

If you want the most wonderful indulgent escape...choose Marrakech......and stay in a hotel that will blow you away.....

Room Tip: All the rooms are fantastic....we were shown around them all by Madame Laurence!
