“Ideal.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Les Trois Palmiers is a great hotel, located just off the main strip and has some friendly and helpful staff. The staff were quick to advise me and my partner the best places to go, how to get there and what to look out for.

We stayed for 5 nights which we felt was a little too long in Marrakech as there wasn't much too do on a tight budget, however, the stay in Les Trois Palmiers was comfortable, accomodating and with a continental breakfast including a few local treats.

The swimming pool was a bit small but that's the sacrifice you make when you get a hotel close to the town centre. It was clean though and quiet with a scattering of sun loungers around it, pretty ideal for relaxing and cooling down when the sun was at its hottest.

The only complaint I would have was the doors to the rooms. If the doors weren't closed properly, an alarm would sound (something close to a bad case of tinnitus). One of the nights we stayed there, we were joined by a big group of students that found shutting their room doors a little too taxing. However, in true British fashion, we didn't complain at all and it did eventually stop.

All-in-all, I'd definitely go back to the hotel and have recommended it to friends and family.

“Average - you get what you pay for!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012 via mobile

We arrived at the airport at 10:30am on time and looked for the sign with my name on it being held up by the taxi driver as promised by the hotel. Sadly there was no one to be seen so I called the hotel and they just said to get a taxi, no apology! Not the best welcome to Marrakech...
They were unable to offer us an early check-in so we waited a couple of hours to check-in (which was understandable). Then a school bus full of children joined us at the hotel, about 40 in total, whilst checking in, our relaxing week in Marrakesh seemed a long way away.

The rooms were big, spacious, with a telly and the shower worked well. The aircon was good and when it stopped someone came up very quickly to sort the problem.

Breakfast was good with a nice selection BUT we had to go down when the flock of children had left or before they got there as otherwise it was carnage..to be fair they restocked quickly though.
We never made it into the pool as it only got the sun for a couple of hours per day but it was nice and relaxing when the group of kids weren't there.
The location, in new town was good, and was a 25 minute walk to Jma Al Fnah (the main square) just follow the main road.
Our last day fell on Eid which we're sad we missed as we had an earlyish flight which meant that taxis were going to be hard to get, so we booked one through the hotel. Sadly after booking it earlier that day we were told at 10pm the night before we we due to leave the hotel staff informed us that they couldn't book one as there were none available. They offered us no resolution, so we called our contact from a tour we went on who helped us out kindly and booked us someone to take us to the airport with no hesitation.
Overall other than transport to and from the hotel it was an alright place to stay and was good value and you get what you pay for! If we did it again we'd probably pay the extra and go to a Riyadh.
Things to do:
- day trip to Atlas was great we went with Anyas Travel.
- Les Bains de Marrakesh was ace
- Al Fassia an amazing restaurant just round the corner.
Make sure you book all the above though as they're all popular.
We had a fab week, it's an amazing city, just get a taxi to and from the airport.

“Quiet, clean and well presented”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

After staying in a couple of average budget hotels in Meknes and Fes, Les Trois Palmiers was a welcome upgrade which we particularly appreciated after the 8 hour train journey.

Whilst it is located a little away from the sights, this is a blessing as it enables a comfortable and quiet nights sleep and the Medina is a cheap 10 min taxi ride away. The reception staff were polite and professional and made us feel very welcome.

The buffet breakfast was of a good standard, and the restaurant served well priced (if a little bland) meals.

Would happily stay here again.

“Decent and well located”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

We spent 4 nights at Les Trois Palmiers. The staff were helpful and friendly, even if getting a cup of tea seemed to be a bit too much for them (it took at least 3 requests each time we asked). The foyer, dining room and pool area are very nice. Rooms are basic - the standard that of a slightly unfinished Travelodge. Breakfasts very good (especially the coffee), lunches a bit limited. The hotel is in a back street very close to the place de 16 Novembre, which is a very upmarket area with expensive shops, and decent standard (mainly pizza) restaurants. The walk to the main souks is a good 30 minutes. The best restaurant nearby that we found is the Grande Cafe de la Poste. Also you must visit the Jardins Majorelle - a 15 minute walk. Airport transfers worked like a dream, and they arranged a good value day trip to the Ourika Valley for us for only 200 dirham (£15, plus tip for the guide). There is a hamman just round the corner too. You could do a lot worse - we would stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear overlooking the pool are quieter, and don't overlook the building site at the...
