“Best food in Marrakech!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

Tardis like building - looks nothing form the outside, but inside wow! Moroccan menu and simply the best tajine in Marrakech (possibly Morocco but I need to do some more research!). Not to be missed.

“highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

My husband and I had a fabulous evening at the Red House. We had booked a table because of the reviews in TA and we were not disappointed. On alighting from the taxi, the staff opened the main doors at the top of the stairs to greet us. We were welcome by two of them, and by beautiful live music which did not stop all evening.
We came in earlier than their opening time, but every one made us feel most welcome. They respected our privacy, whilst being always present when needed. On our request, they explained to us that the place was actually a family home which had been left as per the original design from when the family lived there. The vast three main restaurant rooms are richly adorned with traditional mosaic and stuco, with stunning chandeliers. Everything from the tiled floor to the painted ceilings is an enchantment. In the back are more westernized rooms (one of them being the guest house reception).
The food was delicious; there was a Morrocan menu and an international one, each with a choice of two or three courses. They were both set menus; we chose from the local food and it was excellent. We also enjoyed a lovely local wine, and a nice tea with biscuits and cake to finish it off.
It was a really special evening and we felt lucky to be waited on by such warm, friendly and professional staff.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

A short 10 minute walk from the Sofitel and the Mamounia ,the Red House is a real treat. The dining area is situated in an ornately decorated tiled room with high ceilings in authentic Moroccan style, the tables are set far apart from one another affording privacy.
There are two menus available, one Moroccan ,the other continental but you can mix and match,2 or 3 courses at a fixed price,270 or 300 dirham. There's an extensive wine list of Moroccan and French wines, the former start at 180 dirham and the French wines start at some 300 plus Dirham. The Moroccan wine is very good. All in all ,a meal for two with a bottle of wine and coffee is going to cost you £90-£100 but the quality is such that I think you'd expect to pay a good 30% more in London.
The staff are very charming and efficient and there's a some music provided by a guitarist. The place has a good ambience and don't be surprised if you find yourself snapping some photos of the restaurant interior,it's special.

“Excellent! Excellent! Excellent !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013 via mobile

I have to rate the red house restaurant 5 stars all the way. The design of the place is gorgeous, the music is beautiful, they have such friendly staff, the food is so delicious (it melts in your mounth), the atmosphere is so romantic and the location of the place is in a very high standard area. I would absolutely recommended to anyone that is looking to have a classy romantic dinner for such a reasonable price.
Thank you red house team for your excellent service. Defenitly a place to remember.

“Marrakech Highlight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

On our last night in Marrakech we had the pleasure of eating at the Red House. What a fabulous meal , in a delightful setting. Rachid and his team looked after us really well. We have had mixed feelings about Marrakech itself, but this was the highlight of the stay and the memory will remain with us
