Just a short walk from the Jamaa el Fna you can go here to get tasty Moroccan food at Moroccan prices. Of the several restaurants we tried in Marrakech this became our go-to place for cheap, tasty food (it was recommended by our riad). The restaurant seemed constantly busy, and is by no means a place for luxurious dining, but it was clean and the staff was friendly -- most importantly, the food was excellent and cheap. Feeling adventurous we tried the pigeon tagine, but it turns out there isn't much meat on pigeons (it was well-seasoned, though), so if you're hungry I'd recommend chicken tagine. Long tables for seating, so you might find yourself bumping elbows with a fellow diner if the place is really busy.
