“Two days here wasn't enough”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

We went to Marrakech and spent two night here this July. Valentina, Ismail and Ibrahim were very friendly; Valentina the manager went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. We were very lucky and had our room upgraded as a nicer suite was available. The Riad was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. If you want the facilities which go with a big chain hotel then this probably isn't the place however if you are looking for a cosy, friendly environment which gives you a real sense of Moroccan culture then I would highly recommend this.

One word of warning, if you haven't been to Marrakesh before please please get the transfer from the airport offered by the Riad as you will need time to get used to the local ways and you won't save any money as the taxi's at the airport will just charge you the same as the transfer costs.

If I was to visit Marrakesh again I would without a doubt book here.

We went to Marrakech this July and stayed in this wonderful place for 6 nights (in total). Valentina (THE person in charge) made everything possible and organized everything we needed.
The staff was great and made a perfect service.

Thank you for everything (and enjoy your holiday at home Valentina)

Best wishes
Stefan, Christina und "Das Kind"

We went as a family of four adults and stayed here as it came highly recommended. The riad is very sweet and traditional. If you are looking for a big pool and a spa - this is not the place. BUT if you are looking for excellent service, warm staff and a lovely relaxed setting - go stay here. It is very close to the Souks, 7 min walk if that. Good for those who are addicted to bargains!.

The Riad is actually located in what seemed a valley of houses for the locals. It did feel a bit strange at first as we were used to pulling up to big hotel enternaces, but you soon get used to it. If you are a group of girls travelling here, note that the airport bus will take you to a point, where you will then be asked to follow a man to the Riad. This part does seem strange and a bit unsafe. But the man you will be following is Riad staff (he may not speak proper English so may not communicate that). Once you get to the Riad you will meet the Ladies who run the place. They are lovely. In fact all the staff - even the house keeping staff are lovely. There were several little touches which make this place stand out. Firstly, the breakfast was so nice, second, the tea, coffees and fresh juices were complimently - all day long. Third, the Riad staff gave us a mobile phone when we ventured out - for safety and to call them if we got lost or needed to be collected from anywhere. They organised a few great dinners in the Riad but also out of the Riad. The trip to the Atlas mountains was just breath-taking. The Riad organised the whole trip for us, from the private car and driver to the lunch we had sitting in the actual river and the hike to see the waterfalls. The Riad staff even ran around on the last day of our stay picking up Argan oil, olives and changing currency for us - they were exceptional in every way.

This place is truely lovely, we highly recommend it. We will certainly go back.

As our first taste of Morocco, this Riad was the perfect choice. Valentina, Yajaira, and the entire staff were the warmest, most helpful people possible. Nothing was too much for them - each and every person working in the Riad went out of their way to make sure you had the best time possible. In addition to the cell phone, recommendations, and guided walks through the medina mentioned already, I must thank them for helping me try to track down a missing suitcase, which entailed multiple calls a day and endless patience! The food was delicious, and the limitless cups of lemon water and plates of watermelon never ceased to refresh.

We were traveling with our daughters, ages 7 and 11, and stayed in the Eucalyptus Room and the nearby Musk Room (picture not online). I would highly recommend this to other families, as it gave us space and privacy, and the hall door could be locked, effectively creating a suite. The girls also spent every day cooling off in the lovely plunge pool. We were all sorry to leave, and would hope to stay here again if we ever are in Marrakech again.

We would just like to send a huge and sincere thank you to all the staff at Riad Kheirredine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Riad and would not hesitate to stay their again on our next trip to Marrakesh. The staff was friendly and helpful explaining to us all the favourite tourist sites we should see (and assisting us with extremely precise directions, we did not get lost once!). The staff also had our safety in mind and even provided us with a cellphone which we could use any time of the day, if we needed their assistance or if we did get lost in the maze of Marrakesh streets. The rooms were beautiful, clean and cozy. The food was delicious and scrumptious, and all in all, our experience at Riad Kheirredine was delightful and one filled with only good memories. We would highly recommend this Riad to any tourist visiting Marrakesh!

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a week in Marrakech. For the duration of our stay we were at this Riad. Quite simply it was superb and we were very sad to leave. The whole experience was great from the quality of the Riad through to the helpfulness of team.

When we first booked the holiday we had debated whether to do the all inclusive thing with a tour operator but we wanted to experience more of the true Marrakech and find a more special hotel so opted for Riad Kheirredine ...

From the very initial contact Valentina was so helpful with guidance on the hotel and then things to do and see in the area...then when we arrived we were met at the airport and taken right to the Riad. We were given a mobile phone in case we got lost or needed any help when we were out and about, and each time we wanted to get anywhere which was perhaps a bit too tricky to find on a map one of the team offered to walk with us - including if we were getting back late at night and needed someone to come and meet us. Nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the staff at the Riad.

On our first night we decided to have dinner in the hotel, which turned out to be more of a feast with several courses..all tasting superb and prepared by our own chef for the night..a really really nice touch..And as for the breakfasts..wow...pancakes, cake, eggs, fuit salad, juice, yoghurt...think it will take a lot of gym sessions to burn it all off but was all worth it!! :-)

In terms of the Riad itself, I actually think the pictures on here don't do it justice. The rooms were very comfortable (if you are there for longer than 2/3 nights, definitely recommend the Rose room due to its size) and finished to a very high standard. The Riad had all of the traditional Moroccan charm whilst having all of the modern facilities that you would hope for.

In terms of the communal areas, the terraces and plunge pool area were great and were kept absolutely spotless at all times.

The whole team at the Riad were so helpful. I really cannot stress enough how much they wanted to help those staying there...whether it be to get you a cup of mint tea after a day in the souks, to getting you a towel after a dip in the pool, or just to talk through some ideas for things to see and do..they really were very helpful, and it was really very much appreciated.

As for the location, it was about a 10 minute walk from the edge of the souks. At first we were a little apprehensive about how we would manage to find our way back each day, but we were given a tour and helped to remember our way back....as a result we never had a problem (whereas we had spoken to other people who were staying at other riads who were not helped in the same way!).

Being in Marrakech for 7 nights we also wanted to get away for a day and the team helped us arrange a day trip to the Atlas mountains ..we got right into the heart of the Ourika Valley where we had a relatively straight forward climb to see a waterfall which was followed by lunch sat in a river (yes, sat at a table in a river!). Definitely worth asking about if you want to get out of Marrakech for a day - but make sure you have sensible shoes!!

Staying in an area near the souks may not be everyone's cup of tea but we absolutely loved it. The local people were so friendly, and always happy to help and have a laugh or joke with you. yes, you needed to be firm when offered some local Moroccan produce but if you were clear you weren't interested the people respected that. The smells, colours and sights of Marrakech are truly amazing and the Riad Kheirredine is a superb place to be based to enjoy this to the full. We shall definitely be returning!
