“Incomparable service: a little treasure hidden behind a heavy door”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

First your car stops at what seems to be its final destination and the hotel is nowhere to be seen. Then you are told that the car can't go any further, and someone from the Riad comes to meet you, and your luggage is taken into a little cart and you walk for about 15 minutes through narrow cobblestone streets and mysterious alleys. And you start wondering where you are going and where they are taking you... And then you get to the door... and you enter a whole different world and forget everything else.

The Riad is so quite and calm, it feels like it's situated on a little cloud, away from everything. The small pool, the open sky patio, the plants, the furniture, the warmth of the staff, the welcoming drinks and food... everything is an invitation to relax and take in the beautiful appeasing atmosphere.

The rooms are very beautiful, tastefully decorated, beds are superb. It's all traditional art and architecture but at the same time has all the modern facilities you would need in a hotel (hair dryer, a safe, an alarm clock, etc.).

The Riad staff gives you a cell phone which you get to keep with you during your whole stay so you can make necessary calls and let them know when and where to meet you if you need assistance getting back to the hotel. They also give you unlimited drinks and fruits. You only pay for the room, but you get all of the rest complimentary.

One person in our group got sick one evening and the staff provided us with medicine, cooked a special bland meal, and was super helpful. They also didn't charge us for any of it (the diner, the medicine, etc.).

Everyone in the Riad is friendly and nice and has at heart your satisfaction and comfort, without ever being over the top. They even politely refuse tips. I have never encountered such an outstanding service! I highly recommend this Riad!

From our airport pickup right through to departure the whole experience was amazing. We stayed in the Rose room where the bed was extra comfortable after a long plane trip. Valentina and her staff looked after every aspect of our short stay, from beautiful meals on the rooftop terrace to guides to help us find our way to and from our desired destinations in the medina. Even supplied a mobile phone to call in case we got lost. We needed to walk to work off the huge dinner and breakfast. We will be recommending this highly to all our friends.

We can confidently re-iterate all the positive feedback from previous reviews which we used as a basis for booking our stay. The riad, the rooms, the pool, the sun terrace and breakfasts are fantastic. Above all the people and customer service is excellent. Yajaira, Valentina and all their staff are great, for us with all their friendliness, assistance and helpful advice make what would be a great stay anyway, into a fantastic experience.
We travelled with out 2 daughters (11 & 15) and stayed in the Jasmine suite. Although this is arranged over three floors the addition of our own terrace was a bonus.

Without repeating many of the other comments, some additional points you might find useful are:
- the desert tour organised for us was fantastic and allowed us to experience another part of Morocco. In our view, the standard tour would be best spread over 4 days/3 nights (rather than the std 3 days/2 nights) as there is quite a bit of travelling involved, however you get to visit and stay in some great places. Some might struggle to do this in light of the overall time spent Marrakech v atlas mountains & desert, but its worth consideration if you can make it fit,
- the combined cooking and spa day that they arranged for us is great value. We did this they day after returning from the desert. A big bonus was that our girls stayed at the riad whilst we did the cooking part and then Ishmael escorted them to the spa to meet us later in the day The girls had a great time on there own at the riad, Valentina and Yajaira arranged lunch for the girls at a very nominal cost - no fuss, a small touch but indicative of the great customer service.

Thank you everyone at Riad Kheirridine for a fantastic and very memorable holiday,

From the moment we arrived at the airport in Marrakech to the moment we were reluctantly dropped back off at the airport five days later, the service we received from EVERYONE who makes the Riad Kheirredine the wonderful place that it is, was faultless! Firstly, the riad is a spotlessly clean, beautiful place to stay, tucked away in a quieter part of the medina but still close enough to the main attractions. Enjoying breakfast every morning on the roof terrace was such a lovely way to start the day! The food we ate at the riad was super tasty- the breakfast was fresh, generous and varied, and the traditional Moroccan meal we had on our last evening at the riad the nicest dinner we had during our trip. But whilst the provision of a mobile phone for us to use should we need to (we did!) when we were out and about during the day was handy, the little biscuits we got whenever we asked for a drink very welcome, and numerous other ways in which attention to detail was demonstrated was noticed and appreciated by us, it was the staff of the riad that made our stay as special as it was. From the start we were made to feel welcome by everybody (like we were friends, not another set of customers), nothing was ever too much trouble, everyone was super polite and greeted us with a smile, and despite our numerous questions, Valentina (one of the riad's managers) never made us feel like we were a bother!! On our first morning our friendly guide Ismael showed us the route from the riad to the main square with as much enthusiasm and patience as we're sure he did the very first time he showed a guest the way- and he did a great job as from that day on we were proudly able to get ourselves from the raid and into town and back without assistance! Ismael also happily escorted us to a number of other places we needed to get to during our stay in Marrakech. Whilst we had the most contact with Valentina, Ismael, Abdul and Ibrahim, without question EVERYONE at the riad deserves to be mentioned, if only we knew all of their names!!

We felt genuinely sad to leave the riad, we felt like we had made friends and didn't want to leave the comfort and warmth of our newfound home or the people in it. So, bottom line, do not hesitate to stay in this amazing riad with its amazing staff as you wont regret it and truly wont have a better experience anywhere else in Marrakech.

Thank you all of you at the Riad Kheirredine for making our holiday so memorable.

Riad Kheirredine is absolutely beautiful, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Yajaira, Valentina, and the rest of the staff took great care of us, going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were perfectly happy. We did eat a light dinner there and breakfast. Both were delicious.

Guests should know that the riad is not in a touristy location but getting to and from it will give you a taste of the “real” Marrakesh. Also, the rooms have fragrances that match their names, such as rose, jasmine, etc. If you are sensitive to fragrance, this would not be the place for you.

My husband and I stayed at Riad Kheirredine in November of 2012 and it was perfect in every way.

While it's an easy walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa and the souks (about 10 min), the location of RK puts you right in the heart of a residential neighborhood and immerses you in the local culture.

The property is immaculate and the rooms are all exquisite and unique. We stayed in the ambre room which was bright and sunny and had the most delicious and distinct fragrance. Its a smell that even a year later I would recognize immediately.

The staff (especially Valentina, Ishmael, and Abdul) are wonderful and organized. They arranged airport transportation for us and offered honest recommendations. While we were there, they helped to make reservations, guided us into the main square, armed us with a mobile phone programmed with all the staff numbers and even came and collected us when we got turned around in the souks (which will likely happen to you too at some point during your stay).

Food is top notch. From daily breakfast on the rooftop to continuous water and fruit in your room, the staff makes sure you never need anything. We ate one dinner in at the Riad and it may have been the best meal we had in Marrakech.

Don't hesitate. Book today and you'll have a great time.

Before our travel, I conducted a thorough analysis on tripadvisor and booking.com, and thanks fully I trusted my gut feeling based on the information from booking.com, I just invite you to have a look as on this travel advisor the ranking of this riad is much more in line with what you will get, in few words:
A team with dedicated and carefull staff, a size of riad and accommodation allowing to grasp the magic of Marrakech, breakfast, diner and advises which will go beyond your expectations, terraces allowing you to relax outside even in the middle of the medina. Our daughter had a birthday surprised breakfast which was very tactful. It was the first time in Marrakech for my wife and I but not for my stepfather who lived there many years ago and I can tell you that all of us are only thinking to the next time we will comeback and obviously at Kheirredine...
Well you can always look to anywhere else but you can go to Kheirredine and you will have this magic spell of beautiful places where everything is just right and you will remember it for long with sweet memories.
Last but not least, thanks to Ismail, Abdu, Valentina, Yajaira and all the team, what you do is great and we can only dream to find such quality in service anywhere we go!!!

Room Tip: Just call the Riad, the 7 rooms are all different and we just tried only one of them, the Jasmin sui...
