“a really nice experience of morrocan culture”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

everything was really nice about this riad. the staff were really friendly, always smiling and willing to help.
we could also ask for tes/ coffee/ hot chocolate/ morrocan tea whenever we wanted :)

the rooms we booked was the eucalyptus room, which was actually really lovely. however i would like to say that its not as large as one would expect it to be from the pictures on the hotels website. but then again the bed was really comfy. we were told that the room could host three people however, the second bed was actually a sofa bed; and wasnt very comfortable to sleep on.

NOTE:
-there are no tv's in any of the rooms, you have to go downstairs to watch tv, even then every thing in the riad preety much shuts down after 10:30.
- the wi-fi comes and goes
- food was a little pricey but nice (depends on your taste really) BUT you do have to tell the riad that you would like to have dinner before (the day before or in the morning) as they do not have the staffing to have their restaurant open every night.

-location was very fitting for a riad, but you must remember that the winding streets are very confusing and its easy to get lost too and from the riad. the riad is also a good 20mins walk from the main square of marrakech; but its not a problem in daylight to get yourself there as you can just ask people as you go/ follow the map.
HOWEVER, the staff ARE very helpful and offer to take you to and from a specific place (they also give you a phone so that you can contact them whenever you wish)

for example: coming back at night was rather frightening because we got lost, as the roads get really deserted- so we just phoned up the riad and they sent ishmail (one of the staff) to come and get us.

- the terrace on the top of the riad is really nice and its a good place to lounge for a bit

-the pool... is really cute you cant do full lengths in it but i suppose its classed as a splash pool

- contrary to what some staff may say i would reccomend doing the bus tour its definitly worth it as you get to see all of old and new marrakech- not in most parts of the medina though of course.

OVERALL: i really enjoyed staying at the riad especially because the staff were so nice and the riad itself was lovely. it really brought out morrocan culture and it was a nice experience

“Everything nice that was said about this Riad on tripadvisor IS TRUE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

The Riad is everything that everyone raved about. The entire staff, most especially Yajahaira, Ysmael, Ibrahim and Valentina were especially accommodating in every request we had. Food was awesome especially with us being vegetarians - they served great dinner and good Italian wine and breakfast was also sumptuous. The room AMBRE was very very clean. The bed sheets smelled so fresh and clean and soft (which is very important to me) and best of all .. They had warm water in the shower. Wifi was reasonably good. They gave us Mobile phones to make sure we could contact them when needed and the location is truly right in the heart of the medina. If you are looking for real Moroccan experience - this is an awesome choice

“This Riad made our trip to Marrakech perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012 via mobile

The kindness shown by all the staff in this Riad is an example to any hotel or Maison d'hôte. We were constantly cared for and our every need looked after. The rooms were beautiful (we were a group of 5 and had the Amber and Jasmine rooms - exquisite), food was wonderful and the service exemplary. But over and above this they actually cared how much we enjoyed Marrakech. Even helped us shop and get the best prices. Thank you Madame Marina (you cooked us such wonderful meals!), Valentina, Abdul, Ibrahim and all the staff of the Riad. We will be back as soon as possible!

“Friendly Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

We stayed at this Rhiad in November and we were impressed by the extra touches like the cell phone and guides to escort you to the square/taxi stand/etc. They were really incredibly welcoming and friendly and had great suggestions for anything guests desired. We took several of their recommendations for dinner, hammam, and other outings, and all were great. Marrakesh can be a little overwhelming and it was great to know that if we got lost or ran into any trouble, we could contact the riad staff at any time to help us out. Sitting in the sun on the beautiful rooftop terrace with beers in hand was the perfect way to relax after exploring the souks and cool chaos of the medina.

“Our villa in Marrakech”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

Wow. That about covers it.

We searched and found this special Riad (private almost personal hotel) in the medina in Marrakech.

Upon arrival we were greeted with the customary tea and asked our preferences for dinner (we had dinner at the Riad scheduled for that night for convenience) and for breakfast for the days we stayed. All was wonderful.

Our suite was a "standard suite" which was by no means "standard", it was beautiful with a fire place, sitting area, access to two terraces.

Dinner that evening was very traditional and 6 or 7 courses. We could not eat half of what was provded and it was excellent.

The riad provided a cell phone and a person was on call 24 hours a day to take us to the medina or come and find us when we were lost. It felt as if we had our own personal butler and servant.

We can't say enough about this place. 5 stars or plus plus plus.

Eric

Room Tip: Standard rooms are just fine, suites must be unbelievable.
