“Brilliant hotel and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2011

If you are looking for a great experience in Marrakech - then don;t look any further than here.

Riad setting is lovely. Great pool and courtyard to relax in. Rooftop terrace is great and romantic in the evenings.

Food good - breakfast had a good choice.

Staff were excellent - Marco walked us down to the souk and main square on first day which helped massively. We never got lost once because of this. Mobile phone also given in case we needed hotel or got lost.

Khalid served us breakfast every day - thank you - long shifts but always with a smile.

Rooms were lovely/clean and made our trip special. Very Morrocan and lovely fittings/lights/lamps/furnishings etc

Would definately go back to this hotel when we go back!

We are a couple in our mid twenties and we stayed at the Riad Kheirredine for 3 nights in early September. The riad was a stunning oasis of calm within the medina. Our room was decorated in an authentic Moroccan style and was very comfortable. However, the jewel in road kheirredine's crown is its staff (particularly Marco, the interpreter/guide). The staff were all extremely welcoming and the service was excellent. We ate in the riad on our second night and I would recommend doing so. However, if the riad is not serving dinner that night then Marco and the other staff are able to recommend several very nice alternatives nearby or further towards Jemma El-Fna. We were also given a Moroccan mobile phone to use in case we got lost in the Medina or needed to contact the hotel staff. It is little touches like this that makes the Riad Kheirredine so special. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!

This riad gives you the perfect opportunity to calm down after a few hours walking through the souks and streets of marrakech. You will love it – as we did.

Room Tip: All rooms looked very nice.

We stayed here for one night. I was the pleased with the level of service. They provided us with a phone so we could call them for directions back to the riad.

The room was clean and the breakfast was the best I had in my two week trip to Morocco.

I've just returned from a short break away with my husband to celebrate my 30th birthday and had the most amazing time. The Riad was definately the highlight of the trip, it was beautiful inside with service that would put most 5star properties to shame. The staff were friendly and no request was too big for them, in fact they actively offered to help you or provide refreshments, dinner reservations etc.

My birthday was made extra special by the staff and owner, i recieved roses at breakfast, an amazingly laid out dinner table (the food here is great) and then the most delicious Chocolate birthday cake which had been personalised for me. Really cant describe how great this place is.

I would highly recommend taking the hotel transfer, its easy and the service is great. the Riad is placed just outside the Souks and bit difficult to get to however the staff will give guide you on the first day and then give you a local mobile phone to call the Riad if you get lost or need help getting back. We had the most relaxing 4 days and i would recommend this Riad to everyone.

I would go back just to stay here again!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Ambra suite and it was gorgeous

Yes this hotel is in a not well lit alley, but upon arrival one will be handed a map with keypoints of how to find your way back. A member of the hotel will also walk with the guests to the souk and explain how to get back. He will point out a small square to where a taxi will bring you back. No taxi can reach the front door of the hotel.
We felt safe all the time; on the souk and the big plaza we were not being hassled at all.mind you we are an elderly couple dressed quite conservative for the occasion and may not be attractive to be approached by "sellers". It could be a different story for younger ladies in modern dress.
Anyway the hotel is very recommendable, and our room was beautifully decorated by the Italian owners.
The roof terrace is very relaxing.
We found the dinner a bit pricey and went out for dinner on other days.
The pick up from the airport was good, we arrived 1 hour late, but the driver was still waiting. There are many people holding up a sign with hotel names. Advice: keep their telephone nr
so you can call them in case you can not find their driver, or ask any person there to point out the Kheiredine driver.

We would come back to this hotel and be immersed in vibrant Marrakech for a day or three.
Tip: to walk with a professional guide for half a day is recommendable. You can pick his brains about prices, good restaurants and other places to visit in Marrakech or Morrocco. The hotel can assist you with booking a guide.
Tip: we bought an ipad sim-card from Miditel so we could be online to sort out our travels. The guide or the hotel can point out the shop.
There is a Carrefour shop selling alcohol and camping gear, and more.

stayed here for one week with my partner in august. we had the verveine room, which was beautiful, spotless clean, air conditioned, and equipped with clean towels, bathrobes, and cold water daily.
transfers to and from the airport were included in our price and we had no hassles here. arrived off the plane and the guy was right there waiting on us.
breakfast was also included in our price and was exceptional. every morning we had freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh coffee, breads, jams, butter, marmalade and cheese as well as roti breads, honey, and pastries, followed by eggs of your choice. we never once ate again before 8pm!
the staff were helpful and very welcoming, and a special mention must go to emanuela, usama, khalid, abdou and marco. khalid is a saint! excellent guy, really friendly and charming. he made us feel very welcome, in fact, as we were there during ramadan, he invited my partner to break fast with him one evening, and brought extra home made treats for my boyfriend to have.
we paid extra and had a hammam within the riad. we had this on the day before we left, however if we'd had this the first day, we'd have had it every day! it was an amazing experience. well worth the money.
we also paid extra and ate in the riad. we were treated to the most delightful selection of starters followed by a beef tagine, which was exceptional. the 3 course meal was €20 each without alcohol (we bought some at the supermarket near jardin majorelle and the riad had no problems with us drinking it with our meal), and was so nice we at at the riad again on our last night, this meal too, was exceptional. basically, they will cook for you whatever they feel like, however if you have anything in particular you would like then tell them in advance and they'll cook it. cant recommend it enough.
the sun terrace is gorgeous, with views across the city, the riad isn't in a great area, however we didn't ever feel unsafe. the locals got used to seeing us and made a point of saying hello and waving every day. when you first arrive, you will think its a maze, however we were amazed at how easy it was to find our way back! the first trip out, abdou accompanied us to djmaa el fna, and since then we found our way every time.
back to the roof terrace! its beautiful! lie on the daybed with a book and relax, its amazing how time passes. have a look over the side and say "baa" to the sheep on next doors roof!so funny!
would love to come back to marrakech and wouldnt hesitate to stay at riad kheirredine again, missing it already!
