I had a half day trip with Medina Guided Tour and I absolutely regret it. The guide was OK until he took us to a store which he said was controlled by the government. He introduced us to the store guy and they both were like insisting us to buy the handy crafts and other stuffs. At first we were really interested but then, when we asked about the price of each item, they did not want to tell us, instead they were saying it looks good etc, and we will discuss about the price later. We ended up choosing 2 djellaba(s) and 2 pashmina(s) *low quality ones*, and then the store owner told us the total price including discounts is 3250 Dhs (appr 300 euros) which is RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE! We bargained until 1000 dirham, and the tour guide was kind of insisting us to buy it and saying it was really a good deal. The tour guide said that if you bought from the souks, it would be even more expensive. We did not believe it and chose to just get out from the store. After that incident, the tour guide seemed really upset and was more silent all the time until they drop us off in the hotel. We spent almost 40 minutes (because they were insisting us to buy) in the store which we could have used to visit other sights. I was REALLY grateful that I chose the half day tour instead of the full day.
PS: We bought exactly the same 2 Djelaba(s) and 5 pashmina(s) for 600 DHS in the souks (appr 55 euros)
