My partner and I stayed at this hotel for just over 1 week. We stayed in a deluxe double- the room was a fair size, but was slightly run down & not what I had expected from a 4 star hotel. We had an issue with the room as it was not clean, (the bedding and balcony) however at our request we were given a different room without any fuss.
The next room, a deluxe double, was nice & clean & slightly larger, but what I would consider to be a 3 star standard. The bathroom is beautiful and the toiletries provided are excellent.
My only issue with the room was that there is no hairdryer, mirror (other than in the dark bathroom) no full-length mirror- these are important things to me as I was unable to do my hair or make-up properly, & could never see my whole outfit in a mirror. Maybe not an issue for some, it was for me.
The breakfast bar is fantastic! It has a great range of foods, including freshly made omelettes & Moroccan flat breads, fruit, cereal, etc. Delicious! I felt it was one of the best things about the hotel.
The pool is nice and has a great view, however the area around the pool is very cramped & you may struggle to get one of the few sun loungers. I think the pool area would be much better if the space was solely for sun-loungers etc.
We did drink in the rooftop bar a few times, but the drinks were more expensive than London prices! So we did find another local bar which was very trendy & very reasonable.
The staff are one of the best things about this hotel; they are extremely helpful. I couldn’t have asked for more from the staff and cant praise them enough.
We then had a problem with our flight home & had to extend our stay.
Because of this the wonderful reception manager Ouahiba upgraded us to one of the suites as a very kind gesture. WOW! Probably one of the top 5 rooms I have stayed in, and I have stayed in many 4 & 5 star hotels around the world.
The suite is massive; it has a large living room area, a large bedroom area & giant bed. A TV in both the living & bedroom area, two balconies’s. The bathroom was beautiful- entirely made of marble, the biggest shower room with fantastic shower, & a large bath. However, again this room didn’t have a hair dryer or full length mirror.
I would stay at this hotel again & would recommend it as the central location, staff, and breakfast was excellent. But I would stay in the suite, as the standard of that room was what I had hoped for from a 4+ star hotel.
