This has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed in! We stayed at the Riad for 4 nights. The attention to detail is impeccable and the service of the staff is excellent. We absolutely loved everything about the riad. The rooms were immaculate and the staff followed out coming and goings and made sure to clean/make breakfast around our schedule. They waited until they saw our lights go on in the morning to turn the music on, and waited until we went to bed to turn the hall lights off for us. Very good attention to detail.
The room itself was amazing. So lovely. We had a spacious bathroom and very comfortable shower. Literally everything in the room is decorated in some way- even the shower curtain rail, the toilet paper covers and the light switches!
The communal breakfast area is wonderful as well and we were happy to have breakfast every morning there. They changed the linens and flatware daily, so we had something new to look at. The breakfast consists of nice pastries, mint tea (of course), coffee, and yogurt/fruit/egg depending on the day. Everything is fresh, and they ask each night what time you'd like to be served at. so everything comes out nice and warm. For me, the breakfast is very.very sweat, but that is the Moroccan way :)
The terrace on the roof is peaceful and clean- we sat there from time to time reading or playing cards. It is possible to bring alcohol in to the breakfast area or the terrace....just don't be loud and obnoxious about it.
The owner is very friendly and helpful, but she speaks French predominately and only speaks a little English. This does not mean that she will not try to understand you- we communicated everything we needed during our stay without issue (in English and our very bad French). The boys working there were all helpful and went out of their way to be friendly.
The location of the Riad is perfect! We were so happy. It is down a side alley which for the first time can be difficult to find, but after you do it once, you will not forget the way. It is a fast 2 minute walk to the jemaa el fna which was very convenient. Of course there are many shops/cafes along the way, so you will not have any trouble eating/shopping. There is also a small parking lot nearby which was great for airport pickup/drop off, and pickup for tours we booked.
The only thing we did not 100% like was the price/service of the airport pickup/drop off. We booked their service to pick us up when we arrived into Marrakech (for 15 euro) which worked out well because we were tired and didn't know where the Riad was and didn't want to argue with cab drivers about the price.I recommend pickup from the airport. On the way back to the airport though we were told that the same driver and same car would pick us up. We were picked up by a different driver in a different car...which if you know about Marrakech is not ideal. Many people sit in the parking lots claiming to be your driver and you can run into trouble if you are not sure who you are supposed to get in a car with. I was travelling with my husband, but had I been alone I am not sure I would have gotten into the car. The drive to the airport is about 10 minutes- you can get a taxi for about 50dhm...we paid 15 Euro...hmm...
Highly recommenced- I cannot stop talking about this place! When people ask us about our tip to Morocco I immediately tell them first about the beautiful Riad we stayed at :)
There are only a few rooms...we stayed in the one closest to the front desk- it was great.
