“Hospitality at its best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

We were here for 3 nights, in two separate suites (the Fez suite and the Meknes suite). Both rooms were spectacular - in fact the whole riad was exceptionally well kept and with a lovely décor. The riad is located right in the heart of the medina / souqs at the end of a quiet alley. But, more importantly, it was the entire staff at the riad that made our visit to Marrakech a memorable one. A special mention goes to Zouhair and Hassan who helped us with everything we required. We would thoroughly recommend this riad for anyone looking for a memorable experience in Marrakech.

We spent just under a week here and loved the place. The location is ideal and the building itself was delightful. What made it special, though, was the staff, who were great fun and couldn't do too much for you, but never felt intrusive. We ended up eating here almost every night because the food was better than the restaurants. Having spoken to others who had stayed in other riads in Marrakech, all agreed this was excellent value for money. We're sure that there are cheaper riads, but we wouldn't bother looking, having found this one! Other reviews here have praised the roof gardens, the help with bargaining etc., all of which we endorse.

Room Tip: Pick the Fez suite if you don't want stairs.

I can't fault this Riad (save to say that the rooms would be better painted in lighter colours (just my opinion) and it was a bit too "English" for my liking (!)): it was very comfortable, the staff were charming and the food was great. (However, happily, I can say the same about all the places I stayed in in Morocco!)

I just think this Riad is seriously overpriced. I paid a third of the price at the other Riad we stayed in in Marrakech (very close by) and have to say the other one had the edge. Can't really see what the extra £90 a night price tag at Riad Cinnamon got us??

I didn't choose Riad Cinnamon - I spent my last two nights in Morocco with a group of friends and someone else (with deeper pockets!) did - and nor would I. While I have no complaints about it, I would much rather stay at an equally as good Riad, and spend the extra $$$ in the souks! :)

Room Tip: We were a group of friends and had one standard room and one of the more pricey rooms. There wasn...

My family stayed at the Riad Cinnamon for 4 days in March, 2013. It was a great place to get a feel for the city and the Souks. Hossan made us feel very at home and safe. They gave us a cell phone in case we got lost and Hossan came to the rescue more than once. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a unique experience. The rooftop terrace has incredible views and we enjoyed the Tangier Lamb dinner on our arrival.

My wife and I are doing a world tour a gap year and we chose Riad Cinnamon based on recommendations by the helpful Moroccan Tourist Board (who also gave us great recommendations for all our other Morocco hotels). Perfect location on edge of souks, top quality bedding and furniture, panoramic view of the whole of medina from charming roof terrace, great english speaking excursions offerred through sister company, wonderful breakfasts lasted us through till night time dinners.
This hotel surpassed our expectations in every way from the warm and efficient greeting to the sumptuous bedding and delicious roof top romantic meal we were served on our final night.
No complaints at all just wish you could create another hotel like this in our locality!
We will recommend your establishment to our work colleagues who are planning a trip to Marrakech next fall and to our friends who are planning a honeymoon in Africa this November. Especially have to praise the competent Abdou and the charming Meriem who taught us a very usefuol handful of words to use when bargaining in the souks. We will be back to sample you delicious tagines and pastillias as soon as we reward ourselves with another gap year! Bisslamma Meriem!

Room Tip: Our room was the casablanca suite smart white and grey but we also saw the essaouira suite (blue) wh...

Me and nine other friends stayed at this amazing Riad for 4 nights from April 25th 2013. To begin with, the booking process was very simple and Andrew was very helpful and accommodating. We arranged to be picked from the airport which cost £5 per person which was fine with us. After about a 20 minute drive, we came to a square where we were greeted by Hossein, the Riad manager, he and a member of staff walked us along a maze of lanes to the Riad which was amazing. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very authentic and clean, I stayed in the Meknes suite which was beautiful.
The Riad is located in the middle of the Medina but you wouldn't think it as it was such a calm oasis. The roof terrace is amazing with great views and a mosque right near it. The staff were so helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much for them. Miriam and Zahire cooked us a great breakfast and also a very tasty meal on one of our nights. The breakfast consisted of fresh orange juice, jam, egg and some lovely breads and on one occasion a lovely pancake.
Hossein dealt with all our cab bookings and walked us to the cabs on every occasion and also greeted us at any time, even at 4am, and walked us back safely to the Riad.
You are given mobile phones in case you get lost in the Medina or need any kind of help with Hossein. This was very thoughtful and useful.
The Riad is near to cafe Arabe which was a great place with great food and a lovely terrace.
All ten of us agree we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Riad and would definitely return again. I previously came to Marrakech and stayed at a hotel in La Palmerie area which I would never do again as you don't get the full experience of Marrakech that way.

Room Tip: Meknes suite is perfect for 2 people

Thanks so much to Riad Cinnamon and our lovely hosts Hossan and Meriem and Zarah. We had a most wonderful stay with you. Let me first list all the things we loved:
The tagines, pastillas and Moroccan salads.
The lovely guy who took our bags everywhere for us .
The mint tea on the terrace surrounded by orange flower blossoms.
The softest sheets I have ever slept on.
The haunting sound of the call to prayer.
The helpful smile of all the staff and especially Meriem's keen desire to please us all with her advice.
We loved Ma5rrakech and even got good at Haggling (we4 think).
Riad Cinnamon was a peaceful haven amongst the crazy colourful medina.
We thoroughly recommend it. We visited sister hotel Dar Habiba as well and had a lovely relaxing hammam. Our only suggestion is that perhaps you could have the hammam products for sale as we loved them but could nt find them anywhere.
We will be back!

Room Tip: we loved the chefchowen suite but also saw the casablanca and they were both as lovely as each other...
