We've just spent a week at Riad Cinnamon where we were overwhelmed by the warm, friendly atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who give you breakfast anytime, anywhere you want it, and who welcome you with smiles every time you get back from a trip out, making the riad feel like home.
There are lots of nice touches like candles lit in the courtyard and up the stairs every evening. If you don't feel like eating out in the evening you can order a delicious, home-cooked meal prepared in the riad kitchen. The vegetables were beautifully cooked with delicate flavourings, whilst the lamb targines were particularly excellent.There are lots of DVD's available if you feel like a bit of home culture, and also fast free wifi to get online.
The Riad is right next to the Median in a labyrinth of old streets and allies, but you are given a mobile to ring Abdou if you get lost. He will send someone to find you.There is a delightful garden roof terrace with lots of places to lounge or sit while you gaze at the snow-capped mountains and listen to the call to prayer.
All-in-all it must be the friendliest hotel I've ever stayed in - definitely home-from-home.

My partner and I have been travelling around Morocco andNorthAfrica for the past two months and at the end of our trip we rewarded ourselves with a stay at Riad Cinnamon.We were overwhelmed by the friendliness and generosity of our hosts Abdou and Hamid. The really could not do enough for us from carrying our bags to offerring us drinks and giving us the low down on Marrakech. We arrived as weary travellers and left as friends. The food was beautifully presented on the roof terrace and they even managed to cater for my particularities in diet- gluten free which was a first (we hadwarned them inadvance about this though). Delicious and setting so romantic and relaxing.Our room (the Cheffchawen suite was breathtaking with its arched lamps and intense blue decor with high ceiling and little staircase up to our tv area. The shampoo and soaps smelt wonderful i think it was jasmin and the sheets were the softest and smoothest i have ever experienced. Lots of little extras with no charge- eg loan of mobile phone. We slept really well there and even the echoing call to prayer didnt wake us for once on our trip! Definitely recommend this for romantic couples. The doorman was a quiet but reassuring presence and came to find us when we got a bit lost in the medina. We hope to be back next year and want to try out the sister hotel which is opening soon. I think its called Riasd Star or Hotel Star and one of the other guests told us it was home of an American Star from the 20s-josephine Baker so it has an art nouveau slasnt to it. We didnt get to see where it is located but apparently it is just as central as Cinnamon is. We are very keen on art nouveau and art deco period so excited about this.

I stayed at Riad Cinnamon with two friends (all Canadian living in London). The people who run the Riad are amazing and will do everything for you: arrange taxis, organise excursions, make dinner reservations, etc. And they’ll walk you anywhere so you don’t get lost. It’s in a fantastic location in the Medina, close to the Souks.

Every morning they set up a delicious breakfast anywhere and anytime you would like it. On the first day they’ll sit down and go through the city map with you and point out anything of interest and answer any questions you have.

The place is gorgeous, but not too expensive or over the top.

What a wonderful experience it was. The room we booked was very clean and decorated with taste, the bathroom and the shower were at the same time stylish and traditional.
I remember with great joy the fresh atmosphere of the inner yard and cooling down in the mini pool on the roof after long hours of wandering in the Medina's labyrinth.
The riad is located very conveniently, close to some of the most important Marrakech attractions.

The people working at the riad were kind, helpfull and above all very receptive to our needs.
As a tourist is pretty difficult to see what happens behind the locked doors of the traditional morrocan homes. Some of our curiosities were answered in the long discussion we had with Hussein (the riad manager) while enjoying a mint tea about the people of Morroco, their traditions and habits. You can't ever get that feeling while reading about in Morroco guides.
