“A wonderful Surprise awaits you!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

This might be a bit bias of a review, as in my mind Zahra, Yousef and the rest of the Riad staff are practically my adopted family in Marrakech. Words can't describe the wonderful time we spent within this beautifully decorated and well managed Riad. I was there with my mother and aunt during the new year celebration. The dinner, the entertainment as well as the whole atmosphere was an experience to cherish (beautiful authentic Moroccan dresses were "hand picked" for all the ladies that attended the party). Being a person who stayed in the best hotels in the world, the personal attention to detail and genuine interest in the tenant comfort in this Riad in unparalleled. if you're looking for amazing trips Zahra is your girl to set them up for you and the whole family. Those 5 nights we stayed in that Riad will be with me forever. Will definitely come back and already recommended it to everyone that asked.

“A soulful and cozy home for you in the magical Marrakech!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

We just got back from spending a week at Riad Kssar over the New Year's!! It was a magical time indeed and staying at this small family-run riad made it even more special. Zara, Youssef and their mom are incredibly helpful, friendly, accommodating, and are genuinely interested in making you feel at home. And they do! Rooms are cozy and appointed in a traditional style. Breakfast is delicious and can be taken on the roof overlooking other riads and a neighboring palace. Wifi is available downstairs at the reception area next to the pool. They also have a small private hamam (traditional spa) where you can give yourself a treatment with black soap, scrub, clay mask and argan oil, or have it done for you. The riad is located in Mellah, which is traditionally a Jewish area and part of the Medina. 10-15 minute walk to the main square and the Souk. In the evening you can have dinner cooked for you and served in a cozy dining room downstairs. We had the best couscous ever one of the evenings at the house! The owners are also able to book day tours outside of Marrakech and recommend various activities, restaurants, etc.... And OMG, new year's celebration was beautifully appointed around the small pool, with flowers and candles floating on the water and local singers, musicians and belly-dancers playing and dancing around the tables!! This was a great place to feel truly welcome during my first stay in Marrakech!!

“Very friendly and understanding host”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

We had made a 3-night reservation at the end of December, when Marrakech is full of tourists from all over the world. Unfortunately, the day before our departure from Casablanca to Marrakech my wife had a health problem, and we could not travel. I cancelled the booking via booking.com and contacted the hotel manager, Zara Lakhbabi. She was very understanding and did not insist on the cancellation fee of one night when she heard about the details.
Next time we will try to make it to Marrakech and stay in this Riad, who was recommended to us by other travellers.

“AMAZING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

We were among the first clients in the riad after its renovation, we really enjoyed the privacy the hotel gave it’s residents, all areas were accessible and even though the Riad was fully booked up, we seldom came across the other guests. We enjoyed having tea next to thé fireplace in the sitting area downstairs. There was plenty of space to sit quietly and having breakfast upstairs on the terrace. The staff were always friendly and accommodating and I felt comfortable in the Riad surroundings. Only 5 min walk to the magical place jemaa el fna ;Unlike other Riads we stayed in before ksar el mellah had an easy access on the main Road and no security issues as it s next to thé royal palace
