This was my third visit to Marrakech and by far the most relaxed I have been. We booked all the rooms as it was a group trip for a birthday celebration and the place felt very much like our home for a few days. It is hard to fault Riad El Kenz - a lovely little oasis in the middle of the bustle and buzz of the city. Service, value were outstanding. The welcome by Dame Claude was warm and sincere and she was available whenever needed and also gave us much privacy and space. We all fell in love with Rachid - the brilliant and very knowledgeable caretaker, who went above and beyond the call of duty many times and helped us navigate our way through Marrakech. There are SOOO many riads in the city. If you're not looking for a lavish, high budget and extravagant setting, but want to be in an immaculate, clean, comfortable, elegant and stylish place, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Rooms were all gorgeous - beautifully designed and well thought out and thoroughly cleaned. I have a thing for bathrooms, and loved all of them (I spent quite a bit of time looking at all the rooms in the riad). If I were to be really picky - the water pressure isn't very strong, but you still get plenty of hot water and can have a good shower.
Dame Claude takes great pride in the service levels and in all details pertaining to guest's stay at the riad. It is evident that she has invested a great deal of time and effort into creating this place and giving it its warm and charming character. It's personal.
We had one meal at the riad - a beautiful tagine dinner by candlelight, set up in the little courtyard area.
It was all just lovely and great value.
