5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

The rooms were clean, nice and adequately spacious. The people working at the riad were very kind, helpful and attentive and made our stay in Marrakech even better. Breakfast was very good too. Definitely recommended. It is also located very close to the main attractions in the city.

Stayed for one night only and for that purpose money well spent. Riad had a funny smell of urine in all hall ways and in our room too. Nice decor but not as well maintaned as some of the other riads we saw. Good breakfast but no pool or sunbathing tho they have a roof top terrace. Excellent location, but if you want to sleep in the markets down on the road starts buzzle at 8am with motorbikes etc.

This riad was excellent from the moment we arrived. We were met from our taxi by a member of the riad staff and shown the way.

We had requested dinner on the night we arrived and the food we were served was amazing! Diner was served on the roof and consisted of a selection of 6 different starters, followed by meat and vegeterian tagines then a chocolate dessert. The food was of a very high standard, all freshly prepared and the setting on the roof terrace topped it off. Breakfast was also served on the terrace each morning and consisted of coffee, Morrocan pancakes and orange juice.

The location on the riad couldn't have been better, right in the centre of Marrakech and a 5minute walk from the central square, souks and all of the main sights. the staff were always really helpful and friendly making us feel welcome.

This was our first visit to Marrakech and I would definitely recommend this riad to anyone planning a trip as it was a great start to our holiday!!!

Stayed her in early January having returned from a trip to the desert. Staff were very excellent and offered us tea upon arrival. The room was lovely and so was the bathroom with nice hot water!! Breakfast was very good and upon leaving the guy on reception helped us with our bags to go and get a taxi. The street the Riad is on is not accessible by taxi however it is only a couple of mins walk to the main street. This Riad is also very close to Jamaa El Fna Square. Would def recomment

We have just come back from 4 days in Marrakesh. We booked this riad because it was within our budget and we wanted a family room. If you are offered the above room for 4, don't take it. The fact that you can wedge in 4 beds does not make it a family room. We did also see the Idrissedes room however which is also a family room and much more spacious with a proper bathroom, choose that one instead.
We pre booked a taxi both to and from the airport. Much more than you will pay if you do it locally, but worth it in my view as it saves any hassle. The riad itself is french owned, and according to hotel staff seems to be the case of most Marrakesh property as locals cant afford to buy it. The two lads who worked the reception work ridiculous hours for 300 euro a month, yet were the happiest lads I've met.
The riad is well located, although you cant go wrong anywhere within the medina as it so small and walk-able. It feels like its down an alley, but its actually on a main drag and a 10 minute walk to the main square. The food-stalls in the main square offer great food. We ate there every night including the kids and nobody was ill.
The breakfast at the Riad is carbohydrates in every imaginable form, but the orange juice is fresh and the coffee great. Dont have high expectations for breakfast. Mint tea is available whenever you want it, but it wasn't to our taste. Bring some tea bags with you if you miss a cuppa either in the morning or afternoon. There is a sun terrace on the roof, and the TV has English news channels. All in all I would say the staff are fabulous and welcoming, the riad nice, but I'm sure there is better to be had. We enjoyed, but wouldn't go back as our room was cramped having to climb over beds to get to a tiny bathroom. Room fine if only 2 of you.

We have a quadruper room for 3 nites in between our visit to Marrakech and Merzouga. The riad situated at the end of Zitoune Lakdim(not accesible by taxi). Easier if u get the taxi to drop u at other end of street, a little medina named "Babel Malah" which is less than 50 meter to the Riad.
The riad only has 7 rooms which make it very cozy and homely. Excellent front desk staff Kareem and Abdul whom speak decent English and brief u all the tricks dealing with local /touters and places to visit.
Breakfast and bed were made daily by the two excelent chambermaids.

Highly recommened!

We have just spent 4 nights in the city of Marracech stopping at the Riad Nesma. After reading many reviews in Trip Advisor I chose this Riad as it fit in with our budget and and I have to say we were not disappointed.

Unlike some, the Riad is acually very easy to find, however again upon advice we prebooked a taxi through the riad before we arrived. If you are a first timer to the city I would strongley recommemend paying a bit extra and doing this.

The Riad itself was beautiful. I beleive it only has 7 rooms. Ours was was small but prefectly adequate for our stay.
Kahrim and the other riad staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and answered any questions we had even down to recommending what they thought was a good price for items we were unsure aboout.

We met anotther couple staying in a different Riad who had paid twice as much as us. Whilst they had much larger rooms they complained of cold water and the location was far out and difficult to find.

I cannot recommend the Riad Nessma highly enough. Its clean, comfortable, perfect location for the market sqaure (5-10mins walk down one street), reasonably priced and had wonderful staff who made whole stay so much more enjoyable.
