“STAY HERE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2012

We were amazed at the quality of this riad. We were picked up at the airport at 11:30pm which is a must at this time of night, and had our bags carried through the dark narrow streets right to the front door. As soon as you walk in it feels like you have entered a palace and you are treated like royalty. The room was better, and cheaper, than any hotel we had ever stayed in. The staff were friendly and willing to do all they could to make our stay enjoyable. We are seriously considering modeling a house back home like this riad, it is amazing. Take the deluxe double suite you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: All rooms looked amazing but our deluxe double was unbelievable. There is no outside noise inside.

Stayed here 4 nights at Easter. Was picked up at the airport, and arrived a nice, clean Riad. Really good price, not too expensive, but still really nice. Good food, friendli and helpful staff. Perfect location, 5 min from the big square, Jemaa el-Fnaa, but still quite and no noise.
Nice terrace with chairs to enjoy the sun, but the jacuzzi was not so clean. I reccomend this friendly Riad in the heart of Marrakesch

wonderfully peaceful in spite of the very central location, 3 minutes away from jamaa al fna square. staff absolutely wonderful, obliging and friendly. they took care of the little one while we were away, offered to accompany us during their free time to help us haggle in less touristic shops, and went out to buy lemon juice for the grandmother when she wanted some.

Like many Riads in the Medina, this place is hard to find when you arrive; you need to walk along a narrow street packed with shops, turn off a side street (marked "Casa Lala"), then several twists and turns later (thankfully with no turn-offs) you find an large unmarked wooden door that is the hotel. Random punters acting as guides will generally show you the way for a few dirhams.

The place itself is clean and very comfortable. It's a long way from any traffic, so you won't hear any of that, but nearby shops (and during our visit, a construction site and an annoyingly loud guest) can make a bit of a racket early in the morning.

The plumbing made occasional alarming smells, and the shower was highly erratic, but the bedroom was lovely and romantic.

The riad is just a few minutes walk from the main square, right in the heart of the medina. Don't be put off by the narrow twisty street you walk down to get to the riad - there are no turn offs, so it's actually pretty easy to find your way back.

Like many of the riads, from outside there's just a large wooden door; once inside it's clean and bright, built around a lovely central courtyard. And surprisingly peaceful. Our room had four, fairly narrow, single beds but was comfortable and there was plenty of space for the three of us. The only minor quibble was that the bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a partition with a decorative top that stops just short of the ceiling!

A simple but tasty breakfast was served in the courtyard, whatever time we got up. The staff were very friendly and keen to help. There's also a nice roof terrace if you want a quiet spot to sit in the sun. And free wifi throughout.

My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay here. It has a perfect location, only a short walk will get you to Jemaa El Fnaa. The staff were very helpful despite having difficulty in communicating in English. Youssef gave some good tips and even helped us buying bus ticket to Essaouira. Would love to stay here again in the future.

A superbly located small and comfortable (5 bedroom) Riad with the Jemaa El Fna and major Palaces and Souk all within 3 - 10 minutes walk.

Beautifully decorated and well apportioned room, with the most friendly, welcoming and helpful staff I have ever met - truly nothing was too much trouble for them.

The two sitting rooms and roof top terrace (complete with tortoise!) was a real bonus, as was the included breakfast and free transfer back to the airport.

Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone - the only things to be aware of is that storage space fro clothes is limited (wasn't a problem for us) and the Riad's drinks menu is limited to tea, coffee and soft drinks - we would have loved to be able to sip a glass of wine or two in an evening, but really just a product of being within the Medina, as restaurants with drinks licences are realtively few.

We also asked the staff to organise a Quad Bike trip into the desert for us - fantastic value and great to see so much different scenary - as with everything else, this was organised effortlessly and all the arrangements happened on time.

A true haven - thank you so much to Yousef, Mohammed and the rest of the Team for making our stay so memorable.
