“Fantastic riad Charlott”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed in Riad Charlott in March and would recommend it.We will definitely come again and I have recommend it to all my friends who are planning to visit Marrakesh. Everything was perfect - lovely room, fantastic views from the terrace, great food ( would recommend having dinner in the Riad), fantastic breakfast. The jewel in the crown is of course Khalid the manager who warmly greeted us when we arrived, took us through Medina the following morning and gave us a hand written map which was very helpful. He also organised a trip to Marjolene gardens which was truly amazing.

Warm welcome despite our late night arrival. This Ryad is a fantastic place to start and discover the historical Medina of Marrakech. The kindness, courtesy and affability of the whole staff, but especially Khalid, lets you feel like home. The generous, various and tasteful breakfast is the best way to start your day in Marrakech. Don't lose the amazing view from the sunny terrace, you can see all the surroundings from the mountains till the incredible Jaama el Fna square. Excellent and needful transfer service from/to the airport.

Only spent one night at the Charlott' as equally excellent Riad Matham just around the corner was fully booked the first night of our stay in Marrakesh. It was the manager at Matham, Thierry, who thankfully set us (me and my whife) up here. As such we're not qualified to review the full aspects of a longer stay, but I can say this: we're extremely grateful to have been arranged to spend the night and breakfast at Charlott'. We ended up in a spacious room with a more modern boutique touch as for decor - easy on the eye, to say the least. The staff, Khalid, was extremely wellcoming and friendly and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was your typical Moroccan one with crepes, coffe and toast and the like. Would be a perfect place to experience total tranquility after a hectic day in the Souq. Up on the terrass folks. Recommended!.

We have just returned from a four night stay in this Riad. We traveled with our two young children and found this accommodation to be of a very high standard. Khalid the manager corresponded with me prior to our arrival to arrange airport transfer - a must!! We would not have found this place otherwise. It was my husbands birthday and Khalid arranged to have a cake for him and the staff kindly put up some banners and balloons that I had brought with me in the lounge area. Khalid kindly gave us a tour of the medina and provided a map to help us get around. The breakfast was plentiful, very tasty and varied from day to day. The whole place is very clean and comfortable. We stayed in a room with a mezzanine which the children slept on. The stairs up to it were a bit steep and probably not designed with children in mind. However we managed by blocking the opening to the stairs with a makeshift stair gate.
When we were at the airport returning home we realised that my husbands wallet was missing and assumed it was in our checked suitcases. When we got back home I received an email from the acting manger to inform us that a wallet had been found in our room with cash and cards in it. I thought this was very honest and kind. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Riad to anyone. The staff were very helpful and kind and helped make our stay very enjoyable!

I would highly recommend anyone to stay here- as soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted by a very friendly Khalid. He took us on a rekki to the main square and back- treating us to local tasty nougohart and fresh Orange juice along the way. For those of you who have been to Marrakech will know or for those who haven't been- it's a cray maze of souks and tiny cobbled streets which can be quite daunting when you first arrive so for Khalid to do this was really helpful and kind.
The Riad itself was beautiful, including all the facilities, the breakfasts and a place of pure tranquility after a mad day out on the streets. The terrace was awesome and one evening Khalid made a fire for us and brought us a bottle of local white wine for mum and I to enjoy under the stars - it was really heaven.
I have stayed in a few Riads and I would easily recommend this one the best. Khalid is a really genuine guy who will always go out of his way to help you (and not for money!)

I stayed in Riad Charlott for five nights with a friend, and we couldn't have wished for anything more. The building itself is beautiful, the room (with fireplace!) was very clean and cosy, and I especially liked the roof terrace.

The staff is equally excellent: manager Khalid is extremely helpful, guard Ahmed is always very kind and the cleaning/cooking lady may be the best home chef in Marrakech! Each day a different (but equally tasty) breakfast, and i really recommend trying her tajine or couscous for dinner!

I you decide to go, definitely let them pick you up at the airport, because there's no way you will find the riad on your own! It's easy to get lost in the alleys of the medina. The location is perhaps the only downside to this riad: after dark some 'dodgy' characters appear in the area around the riad. Our safety was never an issue, but some might find it offputting. But don't let that stop you: this riad is truly wonderful!

Very pleased with our stay in this beautiful riad. Relaxing atmosphere and great staff. Had dinner here on the first night which was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff go out there way to make the stay comfortable. Highly recommend.
