“Worth the rating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

We went there based on the good reviews we read on trip advisor. They were right on. The wealth of historical pictures of marrakech that were on display, were reason enough to go there. There were also amazing portraits and shots of other parts of Morocco.

When walking around Marrakech you get the sense that while some things have changed due to the inevitable invasion of the modern world, there's a spirit to this place that hasn't changed in a millennia. The form of the old city is still there. It's just the technology that moves around in it that has changed. You walk around feeling that the long past of their ancient civilization is actually not that far back in time. Seeing these pictures from the early nineteen hundreds and later, show you that it wasn't that long ago and they are a wonder to look at.

If we weren't traveling with two kids in tow at the time I could have easily spent a day looking.

Small place but well presented.. intersting photo histories, a good video of historic Morocco footage, all in French though, as it was by a French traveller. No subs.

“Black and white!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

Beautifully laid out.....photos from across mainly the 19th and 20th centuries....not all of Morocco, Tunisa gets a look in...definitely worth a visit... If you go to the top up the spiral staircase you will also get great views of the city...

“Lovely week at marrakech”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

This is a good place to visit, to see how was Morocco in the old days. It does not focus only in Marrakech so the experience is good.
Also when you buy the ticket you can return how many times you want to revisit. :)
