“Very cute hotel with top notch service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

I stayed for only one night with my girlfriend before joining my family in another riad. We really regret not staying for my whole stay. The Petit Prince Riad is a delight from start to finish for a very reasonable price (about 65€). You melt for the courtyard the second you see it and the staff are making you feel extremely welcome. The room felt a bit small given that we arrived with 60kgs of luggages that we had to open to get clothes and stuff, but the high ceiling makes it feel aerated and pleasant nevertheless. the room was well decorated as well. Outside of the riad is just off a small and not too busy commercial road that I found rather pleasant (no noticeable noise at night). We were driven by the owner's brother to a good restaurant in the evening. I had an allergic reaction there (my fault for eating maroccan patisseries with a nut allergy). where this is relevant is that the riad's driver took us to a hospital as I requested and he STAYED IN THE HOSPITAL RECEPTION FOR 1H30 while I was being treated. I am very grateful for that and I believe this shows how well we were taken care of by this riad's staff. Breakfast was good and copious as well and taking it in the courtyard was a very peaceful moment.

When entering the Riad you step immediately away from the rush outside. The courtyard is a nice place to sit, chill and relax as well as the roof terrace, specially after spending your day in the medina. The people are great, open, friendly and helpful.
The location is close to the medina wall and the medina is on walking distance.

The courtyard at the riad is just lovely with a small swimming pool and seating areas. The roof terrace has sun loungers and a shaded area with comfy seating. Our room was comforable and nicely decorated. The only downside was the absence of a door between the bathroom and the bedroom. The location of the riad is within a residential neighbourhood, which was great as we could see the authentic way of life for people who live in the medina. It is situated quite close to the medina wall and Bab Doukala so although it is tricky to walk to some of the sights in the medina without getting lost, it makes an ideal situation if you wish to spend time in both the medina and Gueliz without driving. We got a transfer from the airport which was very useful as we would never have found the riad on our own!

This riad is in a great location. Just inside the medina wall so it's easy to get out and about without having to go through the souks each time. Even though we stayed here in the middle of ramadan, it was still busy. There was a lovely family feel to this place, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Mohammed answered our questions about things to and do and Adil was a great host. Breakfast was a lovely selection of morrocan breads, pastries, jams and tea and the pool was the perfect way to cool off after relaxing on the sun terrace. We would definitely choose a riad with a pool again next time we visit Marrakech. The room was lovely, traditionally decorated and the air conditioning was a bonus. We'd definitely recommend this riad.

Don't use google maps to find your way here (or map on hostelbookers.com) The best way is to get a taxi to either Gare Routiere (CTM bus station) or Bab Moussoufa and enter the Medina through the gate in the wall and turn left when you see an olympic tabac sign and it's down that road 3rd right)

Enjoy your stay there :)

The riad was very beautiful, appears the same as the pictures but the atmosphere is incredibly chilled and relaxing. The owners are friendly and extremely helpful, they look after you and work hard to meet all your needs. The riad was a perfect combination between a traditional moroccon experience as well as being well catered for. Our best Moroccan cuisine we had was at the riad, although quite expensive it is worth every penny (or dirham!!.)

Enjoy your trip!

Room Tip: All the rooms are well decorated, clean and fairly similar.

I stayed here with two friends and it was fantastic. It is quite well hidden so I would recommend organising transfers with the riad but that is the only slight issue. It was about a 20 minute walk from the main square. The service was wonderful, the room was perfect, it was just a lovely little tranquil hideaway in an otherwise fairly frantic place. I would recommend it every time.

Conftable place, really nice and clean. very polite people, and the riad is not far away from the main plaza is very near, the location and is surrounding are save place...I would recommend it. The service was very good and polite, we where able to get a tour guide from the same riad, something that I think can be recommended when you are visiting Marrakech with a limited time.
